Valuegist 120G SSD 2.5 Inch SATA 3 (SATA III) Internal Solid State Drive for NAS Desktop PC Laptop

Bought four of these new, and each one worked right first time, no issues. Can't speak as to whether they're the fastest thing around, but I suspect they're not. I do know they took the Windows Experience rating to a 7.8 out of 7.9 on drive performance on Win 7x64 machines, so that's significant, especially for the price. Also kudos that they implement the temperature sensor ACPI, and the "drives" run at a frosty 40c. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these, assume the reliability will be there as with memory once you get past infant death, the stuff tends to last forever ... That's what I wanted; I'm sick of SMART drives reporting they're about to die on me and my box of dead SATA drives continues to grow (mostly WD, but that's a different review:). If you're sick of it too, this is a great alternative!

I bought of the 120-GB SSD's just to see how well they worked; the price of this Driveis pretty much the lowest priced 120-GB Solid State Drive out there; so I was alittle skeptical.However - - - they are both performing well in two different systems; one is installed in a Dell OptiPlex 745and the other in an old BioStar Motherboard system that I built for a customer 4 or 5 years ago,Both systems are performing like new; and the Dell OptiPlex 745 system that I installed this Driveinto and re-loaded fresh with Windows 7 - - - - - - - - - - - is booting into Windows at 20 seconds!

I used this SSD to help build my friends new computer.If you are looking for a good, fast, cheap SSD this product meets all the criteria. Majority of people wouldn't even notice the difference of speed between this and other brand name SSD's. If you are looking to either move your operating system onto an Solid State Drive from an older Hard Disk Drive then I would recommend this SSD. Going on 4 months and so far so good. For the price it's worth It but definitely as with all hard drives, save your important files on multiple drives/USB flash drives.

bought this to replace old laptop HDD. I dont know about long term durability , but from the point of a casual end user, it works just the same as my Samsung SSD that was way more expensive. I installed linux on it and use it in old laptop with only SATA 1 interface but had no issues.

I got 270 read and 220 write sequential with a HP firebird 802 that has a core 2 quad 266ghz processors and is equivelent to a core i3 processor that is sata 3 as far as I know but ill test it in another pc I know for sure is sata 3 and report my findings.Here are the results in a pc i built with a 2600k processor set at stock speed and a biostar tz77xe4 motherboard that has sata 3 and I got 282.7 read and 282.5 write sequential. Ok I found out my board sets up at ide by default so I had to turn on achid for solid state to be on and I got a 17 second start up to windows 10 with splash screen enabled and....crystal disk mark read mb/s write mb/sseq q32t1 402.9 364.0 4kq32t1 250.3 190.0seq 381.3 347.0 4k 28.75 48.58

This SSD drive revived my 5 year-old laptop. Installation was relatively painless. I backed up my laptop drive, cloned it to the SSD using a USB to SATA cable and replaced the old hard drive with the SSD. My laptop took almost one and a half minute to boot. After SSD installation, it boots in about 15 sec. Applications launch a lot faster. There is no hard disk sound anymore. Considering that I paid only $36 for the SSD, I am real happy with the purchase.The SSD is very light and seems to be well made. The instructions that came with it made initializing the disk for first time use a breeze. Highly recommended.

Cost and Speed of these are are set just right. I have used a few of these in a few budget builds. they boot windows just as fast as the 2.5" sata SSDs i use in Gaming Builds. Night and day vs normal hard drives and its silent. all speeds will be different sata 2 vs sata 3 blah blah blah. but for read speed(most important) matches my Sandisk and Samsung drives Write speed is a hair behind but I only know thats by seeing numbers on a benchmark. So long as they keep this at a Budget price this drive is worth it.

Put this into my 10 year old HP system. It's only SATA 2, but it has increased speed of operations compared to my WD mechanical drive. Using in a dual boot configuration for Win 7/ Win 10. Put OS'es on it, but data went on old harddrive. Works well.
