EPAuto CP218 (CF10218) Cabin Air Filter Replacement for Mazda

Exact fit, matched the originals exactly. Changing these in a Mazda 5 it pretty 'fiddly', but it's doable with patience. Wondering why these only come in a pack of 2? The Mazda 5 uses two filters stacked on top of each other. That's what makes the installation fiddly. I found the easiest way to get it done it to roll the passenger seat all the way back, tilt it until it's as reclined as it can be, and lay on the passenger seat with your body as far under the glovebox as possible. The hardest part is holding the top filter in place while you slide the second one in place beneath it. Be patient and find a position that allows you to get both hands under there. The one with the padded edge goes on top (padded edge at the very top) with the 'tab' sticking out, and the bottom on at that point will only go in one way, with the slot on top for the top filter to fit into. These look identical to the factory filters, and appear to be very high quality. I immediately noticed fresher smelling A/C after installation and a test run. Can't beat these for the price, way better value than buying the Mazda versions. I'll be back in a year!

This EPAuto cabin air filter is an excellent replacement for my Mazda. Installation was quick and simple, and it fits perfectly. The activated carbon really helps reduce odors and keeps the air inside the car fresh. Much better and more affordable than buying directly from the dealership. Great quality for the price – I’ll definitely buy it again when it’s time to replace.

The description is confusing because it says it fits a “Mazda3 S (2009)” but it fit perfectly in my 2008 Mazda3 S. Nearly identical to factory filter. Installation: passenger side under glovebox remove black cover by pinching the 2 tabs in front, twist the 2 butterfly screws to lower the fusebox, remove all wire connectors and lift rear of fusebox off of hanger and set aside, remove the 2 12mm nuts holding the metal hanger, remove black panel from side of center console, remove connector from white plastic cover and remove the 3 philips head screws from the white cover and remove the cover. Pull out 1st filter and the 2nd will drop down, remove. insert new filter (the one with foam strip on top goes in 1st), while lifting 1st filter up, insert 2nd filter underneath it (this is very awkward and may take a minute). Reinstall everything in reverse order.

Takes a bit of work to install but that is due to the Mazda design. Other than that the filter works very well and eliminated the musty smell of the car’s interior air system.

Good quality, It doesn't seem like it has an anti nicotine filter or smoke, but it looks like a good filter, let's see how many km the change will be needed.

This kit was an exact match for my 08 Mazda 5. Not going to say that the installation was easy... because it was tough. There's nothing like lying upside down in the passenger seat to get the filter swapped out. The filter was an exact match and the activated carbon was a nice bonus. It's been in our car for the last month or so and we've noticed a huge difference in airflow and much cleaner air too.

My vehicle is a 2013 Mazda 5 minivan. The filters are fine but they are not the easiest things to replace. Luckily for me, the last time the dealer did it the mechanic did not bother putting back the fourth screw on the top right. That screw is incredibly difficult to get to and your vehicle can live without it. Doing it yourself require some body contortions (I was upside down with my legs over the driver's seat and my head at the floor on the passenger side), but 15 minutes of annoyance beats paying dealer prices for labor and markup on the product. Save a fortune and do it yourself!

Fit as intended on my 2007 Mazda 3. Installation is rather tedious and time consuming. However, long as you have the right tools it’s not that bad but definitely the hardest cabin filter I have ever seen on a car.

It fit perfectly in Mazda 5 2014. Price is fair compared to the Fram equivalent.

The filter fits perfectly in the car but the material seems not as good as OEM product's.

You basically want to hate yourself to install these on an 03-08 Mazda 3. The process is ridiculous. Its like they cabin air filter and then decided to assemble the rest of the car after that. Nice clean fresh air once replaced however. Appear to fit just like OEM. If you happen to have issues after replacement (no wipers, turn signals etc) check the glove box wiring panel that has to be removed, one of the connectors wasn't 100% connected and caused this issue for me.
