Bandai Hobby - Neon Genesis Evangelion - Evangelion Unit-00, Bandai Spirits RG 1/144 Model Kit

TL;DR: Overall, this kit is super detailed with a lot of tiny parts/stickers and has a lot of accessories for photoshoots. Joint articulation is amazing and pretty flexible but the hands are in static poses. 100% recommend if it's available at MSRP.My box was totally messed up from shipping but luckily nothing broke inside. I'd highly recommend this kit to any Evangelion/gunpla fan! It just feels really solid to pose BUT the model tends to fall if you try more complex poses. Articulation is great and the way the limbs can move/pose are almost human-like (very uncanny valley). Also, this kit is 100% sticker/tiny part hell. Which means two things: 1)You will need to take it slow and have patience to assemble this kit. 2) The tiny stickers slip off easily so I'd suggest to topcoat the model afterwards. Usually, regular gundam kits are symmetrical but these EVA kits have specific orientations for each part (like the 00' shoulder stickers), so watch out!For assembly, you're able to build either the 00 or 00' version. The instructions will be different depending on with one you choose. It's possible to switch to either one by using the other special parts (chest, legs, shoulder) after finishing the final build. However, it's very difficult to change out the parts especially the chest/shoulder area where a piece of the shoulder joint shares a part with both versions.

This build was very fun coming from someone who’s not that experienced on model kits, though loose or fragile in some areas most of the figure is pretty durable.I would highly recommend if you’re a fan of the series!!

The model itself was great altogether, only isue i ran into was the decals refusing to stick and falling off.

The engineering on this model kit is incredible. The model feels substantial and organic. The only thing that bothers me about this particular line of real-grade model kits is the lower part of the upper arm, the area right above the elbow, the piece as a tendency to fall off, as does the very front part of the head. A little glue might help, but with the arms it would limit the mobility. So I'm not sure what to do with that. But it's a solid kit otherwise.

easy to build great looking perfect for posing

This is the second EVA Unit RG 1/144 model I have completed. The first one I tackled was EVA Unit 01. I had such a great time that I had to get another. I love this model. I had a lot of fun building it and I think it offers an affordable figure option for any EVA fan. The model came with optional parts to form EVA Unit 00 and Unit 00'. I decided to go with Unit 00'. The differences are in the shoulder fins, chest, and color pieces for the thighs. Either option is good and do to the experience I had with this model I am going to snag another.
