Narrative Theory: A Critical Introduction

I found this book a wonderful introduction to the topic. It is very well written, accessible and equips the reader to explore this topic even further.

I’m only half way through this illuminating and original approach to a history of narrative theory. But I am exasperated by the sheer number of typographical errors that intrude on and mar the author’s well wrought argument. Shameful for any press, but especially a university press.

Elegantly written, and perfectly pitched--but marred by a rather scandalous paucity of women theorists (ratio of 1/10).Otherwise, this study won the Perkins Prize for the book making the most significant contribution to the study of narrative in 2016.
