Update: Idealife replaced the defective lights with the updated model with no questions.Original Review of older model (January 2023): The IC board is cheaply designed, so a breakage of the mini usb charging port from the board is not surprising. It happened on my first insertion of the usb for charging. Unfortunately, this happened after the first 30 days, so I could not return through Amazon. The manufacturer supposedly has a 1 year warranty, but I could not find contact info on the Amazon site or on their packaging. The new version of this item, June 2023, has a magnetic charge port that avoids this problem. The media could not be loaded. Love these lights! We got two... which came with a remote control, and two charging cords. First of all... I totally love that these are rechargeable, and the charge lasted a long time. I had other Halloween lights before that were battery operated, and this set up was so much more economical. Love the options these have! I can use them for every holiday ( not just Halloween). For Christmas...they are going to light up our 1950's aluminum Christmas tree. I can even put them in my favorite Copper Lantern instead of a lit candle ( pictures shown). We don't have a pool so have not tried them under water. The magnet on the bottom is really strong. Stuck to the metal in our vintage JEEP perfectly. And everyone thought it was super cool! 5 STARS!!

The media could not be loaded. My 4 year old has been asking to make the jacuzzi turn different colors ever since we got him an alexa light, so it was pretty neat to find this product. It's a lot cheaper then the 100s it would cost for us to have the spa light replaced.The light is rechargeable which is nice and you should charge it when you first get it. There are a number of colors as well as a few patterns that you can make the light do.The remote control works from my back door to the spa, which is where we like the light best. I did get the two pack for the pool but was not a fan of how dim it felt. I think I need to play around with it more in there cause I dropped it a few times and it deep and cold lol.Since I have children, I also used one for bath time with bubbles and it was a huge hit with my kids, so I feel like they have multiple uses.The brightness was perfect for my spa and tub, but a little dim for my pool for my liking. Still it's fun to see it change slight color.I was able to get the unit to stick to my spa light just fine and it's been hooked on for about 2 weeks. So I would say the suction works. I did not try it on the plaster or tile, since I wanted it lower in the water.It's a fun color changing light and I can't wait to use it more this summer. Also I had no problem recharging it after, no water issue to the cables.

The media could not be loaded. I bought these because my son wanted to swim at night but was afraid of the dark. They lit up our above ground pool pretty well. I did read a lot of reviews about lights not really lasting long due to water causing rust and water eventually blowing the light out. I bought four strong magnets and placed the lights in a ziplock bag and problem solved. The suction cups wouldn’t stick to the pool. The magnets I bought kept them from moving entirely while in the bag. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

One was dead after the first use. Seals were checked - followed the instructions carefully and still - one use. I got them because they were rechargeable and submersible. I don't buy products without reading a lot of reviews.The instructions doesn't say this but I would, in future, NOT ever leave this product SUBMERSED except when in use - take them out when you get out of the water.This seemed promising but sadly I now have to set up an e-waste recycling visit.

The lights are very good, with lots of great controls and customization. The seals on them are fantastic and I've been using them in the hot tub for a while now. However, I've had to buy 2 sets of these because the remotes are very prone to water damage.The first remote was submerged by accident, that one was my fault. The second one the remote was sitting on a lightly damp table (not even submerged or even close to it, just some droplets of water) and got just the smallest bit of condensation. I took the battery out and let it rest overnight. It never worked again. I bought a new set, and my partner had just got out of the hot tub, used the remote to turn the lights off, and just that small amount of moisture caused enough moisture in the battery area to mess things up.So if your hands are damp, or the table is slightly wet, or there's any residual moisture, keep the remotes away. This is a bit disappointing since there's a lot of care taken to make sure the lights themselves are waterproof and submergible, but the remotes are very delicate and are very unhappy if condensation builds up. So around a pool or a hot tub, set the light, forget it, and leave the remote in a dry place.

We were looking for a simple solution to illuminate our pool at night. After reading all the reviews we decided to purchase 4 of lights in total. Many reviewers reported the suction cups did not work well. So, we bought larger ones and used marine glue to affix them to the lights. This worked! The lights have stayed in place and are still working on 1 charge after 6 weeks, although we only used them about 6 times for 30 minutes or less. The lights create a really very nice effect in our pool. And we are more than pleased. Just buy larger suction cups and use marine glue to keep them in place.
