High Quality and Effective for Training
The Herm Sprenger Ultra-Plus Prong Collar is very well made. Solid stainless steel links and a smooth finish. My dog responds quickly when using it correctly, and it’s much more comfortable for him than older, cheaper prong collars. Fit is adjustable and easy to size, and the links move smoothly without pinching. I use it responsibly as a training tool, not punishment, and it’s helped improve leash manners significantly. Overall, a premium prong collar that works well when used correctly and responsibly.

Great for training.
Purchased for my service dog training, its perfect. Works well, can remove links for the perfect size. He knows this collar means we will be working soon. Highly recommend if you understand how to correctly use a prong collar.

Life Changing
This prong collar changed me and my dog's life. She is such a puller on our walks and it was so difficult to control her when we ran into other dogs. I watched hours and hours of videos trying to train her and nothing I was doing on my own was working for us. So after doing a flat collar, slip lead, and many iterations of training, I finally bit the bullet and got a prong collar. Herm Sprenger was recommended across everything because of its evenly distributed pressure. I can say after trying it that it makes a HUGE difference than just the cheap stuff you get off a random drop box salesperson will try to push. The steel is super high quality and lasts a lot of force. The one thing is that it took me so long to try to figure out how to take it off and put it on even with videos and help. But now that I've had to do it over and over again, it has become easy.

This collar is LIFE CHANGING!!
Hella long review but walk with me, haha. 🐶 I have hypermobile EDS and my joints ache severely every time after taking my dogs out or for a walk. We have a Border Collie mix and a Husky, they both pull but the Husky pulls to the point where I straight up can’t deal with him on the leash. We tried everything: treats, clickers, shorter leashes, and gentle leaders. The gentle leader worked until the Husky figured out he could just turn around and pull, which made going out a long process full of constant corrections and redirection. My boyfriend had graciously started solely taking them out so I’m not in pain, but I didn’t want to put that all on him or miss out on my babies having fun outside. I figured we had exhausted all options and this was just how life would be with our dogs, but after the Husky slipped out of his gentle leader on Halloween and made a run for it dressed up as a hot dog, I knew I needed to figured something out fast! After hours of searching and comparing, I decided to give this collar a try and when it showed up, my boyfriend thought I bought a torture device and honestly I was a little worried about it too. I took them out just ONE TIME to go potty, and it was MAGICAL!! Our Husky boy STOPPED PULLING!!! Even after getting the collar on him, he didn’t fuss around! The sizing chart and directions are very accurate: we measured his neck at 18” and added 2”. The 20” collar was perfect fit right out of the package, but can be easily adjusted by removing or adding links. The prongs on the links can be a little tricky at first, but get easier with use. As long as you have a little grip strength, it’s not that difficult to pop off/on. Other reviewers said to get the additional quick release thing, which I agree would be better in the long run if you have issues with hand strength, joint pain, or mobility. The chain, rings, and links feel very durable and there is no smell. I like that it’s just metal, so much easier to keep clean! I took them for a walk the next day and he did so good on the leash, no pulling or choking himself and no coughing!! 😭 I felt like it made him more aware of commands, he looked happy and confident for the first time! I was so impressed by this collar’s ability to distribute the pressure of him pulling without harming him that I returned the martingale collar we got for our other dog because she was coughing from pulling on the leash during our walk and buying her this one instead!!

Gets control back quick
This is great quality. I gave to my mom for her small mix breed that thinks he is I. Charge. This worked so well that with I days he was straightened out. It fit well and was easy to get in and off. I sat comfortable and softly around his neck until he pulled. It quickly got back in check to walk correctly on leash. It is easy to get off and back on.

Easy to open and close and high quality metal I can take my lab for a walk without having to worry he will pull me down trying to go after a squirrel or another dog Gives me good control as I can pull up on the collar to give some pressure and then give command so he will obey It’s the only collar you will ever need

I was cheaping out and bought a no name prong on amazon. Not only it is way too big (already the smallest the seller has) for my 15lb mini American Eskimo, but it also very hard to pinch in and out to put on my dog. So I googled around and got this OG HS micro prong. Let me tell you, this thing is unreal! I put on my dog, immediately i see result! Gave 2 gentle corrections when she tried to pull when see another dog and human, she did ouch quite a bit, but no more pulling afterwards when we were in elevator with other humans. (She loves to jump on other people before!) Some people would argue prong is inhumane. But it is actually more humane. The dog need to learn not to pull and it is already better to have short extreme pain than long medium pain. Before when i used regular collar or choke collar, my dog pull like crazy when she saw dogs or human. I ended up needing to use so much force to drag her around everyday whereas prong gave her sudden pain then she don’t pull and no more pain!
