Remember I don't bake if your laughing. They are a nice sturdy set just check the sizes. They are dishwasher safe but we hand wash them. I like the red rubber grabs on them, keeps me from burning myself. The non stick coating is very effective and super easy to wash. They don't seem easy to scratch but I couldn't tell you. None of our set has any scratches and we have used them. We really like the set. Oven mitts are still recommended because the bottom of those red plastic/rubber-like handles are held in place in a small series of holes, and your fingers on the bottom side might not like that!
