Camellia Red Kidney Beans, 16 Ounce (4 Pack)

No pre-soak. Just cook. I was very skeptical as I cook lots of beans. Perfect! Tender. Tasty. If these are not available in your local grocery, order some! I’ve always used what my grocer had on shelves. Generic beans. Soaked overnight and cooked. With virus, I did not want to go to store for beans so I ordered these. Wow! I’m a convert. When Corona is a bad memory, I’ll still order these. Check YouTube for red beans and rice. Everyone uses these. Now I know why.

I am from New Orleans and Camelia red beans was the only brand that anyone used. I practically grew up on delicious red beans and rice my mother fixed regularly. I recently made a big pot of red beans and rice and used Camelia red beans i ordered on Amazon. They are inexpensive and DELICIOUS. You can't go wrong with Camelia red beans!!

They are sweet, hold their form well and they bring back the taste of what the kidney bean used to be like. I'm a bear freak...expert, frankly (so say they all) and THIS is the kidney bean to buy. Check out the price it is also in the bargain market range.

Been buying these things for years but when i moved away from the south east and to the north east they were no longer carried by the grocers up there. I know a bean is a bean, and for the most part that is right but, these are simply a higher quality build. Maintain their skins and don't cook apart nearly as easily as the standard generic red kidney.

I used to live in New Orleans, and do a lot of cooking. If you've ever had real red beans and rice, you know there is no substitute for Camellia's red beans. Now that I don't live in the city (or anywhere close), I can't just run to the store and get them. This four-pack is perfect, so I always have them on hand for when the mood strikes.

Beans came on time and well packaged. I've tried regular red beans before but was told these make the creamiest dish, and they weren't wrong! I made the best pot of red beans EVER using these for the first time a few days ago.

These are the only red beans I ever buy. Delicious. They don't carry them in the local chains -- have to buy them in "the neighborhood." They're a little more expensive online but factoring in gas prices and time to get to the store, it's well worth the price.
