LorAnn Oils Coconut Emulsion & Flavoring For Baking

LorAnn oils are always the best! I use them for making fondant filling for homemade chocolates. I have used several flavors and they mix in well and have great taste.

I used this to flavor an Easter coconut cake, and it was delicious. It has a strong coconut flavor that did not evaporated like extracts. But I'm super picky, so would mark down to 4.5* because there is a hint of artificial flavor. Would buy again. I recommended to two guests who liked my cake and asked about the flavoring.

This is the best coconut extract type flavoring I have had. Previously I have used both McCormick & Watkins brands of imitation coconut extract. The first couple times I used this product, the result was slightly bitter. But there is good reason for this. the flavor is so concentrated that when I followed the instructions and used it one to one in recipes, the coconut flavor ended up much too strong. Even If This Were A 1:1 replacement, it would save a lot of money because it is much more economical than buying the little tiny bottles at Walmart or any other grocery store. However, when considering that I now use only half the amount called for in most of my recipes, this saves even more money. I have used it in smoothies, ice cream, cookies, candy, and no bake cookies. I love coconut with fruit flavors and especially with chocolate. This flavoring is excellent. As far as the texture goes, it is thicker than standard extracts. Think somewhere along the lines of vegetable glycerin, not quite as thick or sticky as corn syrup. As I run out of my normal extracts, I plan to replace them with these Bakery Emulsion formulas.

Use this in my protein shakes and I get a lot of flavor for just a tiny bit of flavor emulsion. Works great in breads too. Will be exploring some other flavors soon.

It was coconut flavor.. intense coconut flavor. I used in cake mix and icing per the recipe I had and it was far too strong to enjoy.

Good product. Used in my toasted coconut cakes at Easter. Worked very well! Will definitely buy again.

I bought the coconut emulsion flavoring. I have bought other flavors and I really thought LorAnn’s emulsion flavor extract strawberry and lemon worked well. The lemon was fine and the strawberry tasted like strawberry candy. I am making a bunch of taffy for Christmas, different flavors, and the LorAnn coconut emulsion is terrible the scent is terrible and the flavor is just terrible. Oh my goodness what happened to the nostrils of the quality control people at the factory? It reeks! I kept sniffing it, you know when something smells so bad but you keep taking whiffs because it is so weird smelling lol. Very disappointed, and I was basing buying this off the reviews and also the lemon and strawberry I bought before was very good! So I guess you can’t really rely on reviews a lot of the time. It is so bad smelling that I am just going to skip making a coconut flavored taffy. Sad!

The flavor is amazing. I do a lot of baking and when I stumbled upon this product, was skeptic but when I started baking with them it was pleasantly surprised! I find that when a recipe calls for 1tsp of extract, with this product you only need to use 1/4th tsp. The smell is fantastic. I love these Emulsions!! worth every cent.

I love this! It taste like real coconut and I only need a very tiny bit. I use it to make coconut cakes and frosting, as well as coconut meringue cookies, to sell at our local Farmer's Market. It always gets positive responses from customers.
