Full Circle Fresh Air Odor-Free Kitchen Compost Bin, Black and White

Easy to clean and use. Looks good and handles a fair amount of compost. Used for more than 5 years before the spring for the lid broke. Bought another one of the same. Highly recommend.

After going through two of the Oxo bins and having them both fall apart we decided to try this one and I love it. I love that it’s bigger so we can fit more and don’t have to empty it twice per meal if we are heavy on veggie scraps. I love that it uses bio bags. I love that it is easy to take apart and wash. I love that it doesn’t stink. The bio bags that come with it are junk so don’t even bother to try them. We get the bio bags from Costco and those work great. The only downside is that you can’t really use the bin without a bio bag so just be aware of that if you aren’t looking to purchase bags on top of a bin. I prefer the bags anyway so it’s been perfect for us.

UPDATE (6.9.24) I originally said no fruit flies but sadly, there’s many 😭 I still love my box but the fruit flies are still a problem. The compostable bags I bought are still going strong and I love them so much. The metal bar that holds the bag down is a little annoying but it’s fine. ••••••• So far it’s AMAZING. NO MESS: Compostable bags (bought separately. GreFusion brand. Get those!) You don’t have to worry about hauling a heavy thing outside to dump and clean out! NO MESS! Since the bags are compostable, you just toss them in your compost and done!) NO SMELL: The box has an open ventilation system to reduce molding and keep the smell away. (It literally never smells! Our other one smelled horrible.) NO BUGS: In the past, we had such a hard time with fruit flies that we had to stop composting which was sad. But with this one, NO gnats, flies or fruit flies! 😱 LOOOOOVE it. GET IT! And if anything goes wrong, go to customer service and get onto chat. Ask to speak for a rep and tell them if you have any problems. They’re great! Or if you have troubles with them, contact the company and see if they can help. Good luck!

I tried a round bin, a hanging bin, and then this one and THIS is the winner! It sits on my counter, tucked into a corner by my fridge. Pretty, no smell, easy large opening to access, and does the job! Only struggle is loading the bags. The bags that came with it are junk so I used ones I purchased separately. Putting the top on needs to be done slowly so that all four corners are lined up with the bag up around each corner so this takes time. I’m keeping this one!

I love it. I'm an avid gardener and had been wanting to compost for a long time. My original plan was to purchase an outdoor composter but that wasn't quite in my budget. I decided on this as a compromise and I'm thrilled that I did. It's extremely convenient to pop open the lid and toss in whatever is left over from preparing food..orange peels, egg shells, avocado peels, potato peels to name a few. I have this conveniently situated next to my sink on the countertop and it matches my kitchen décor and appliances and actually looks cute. There is zero odor. I just filled my first bag completely after 6 days and took it out to my garden bed. I've started doing what is called 'trench composting'. This involves digging into the soil behind my plants in the shape of a rectangle and digging about 18 to 24 inches deep. I place the biodegradable bag in there and then cover back over with soil. As Spring approaches I am really looking forward to watching my plants grow bigger and healthier with the extra nutritional boost of kitchen scraps that would otherwise go to waste. I love that I've found a simple and easy way to compost with the help of this unit. I did a lot of research on kitchen composters and am confident I purchased ones of the best ones out there. It comes with 5 free bags to get you started.

We used to used a plastic bin with paper towels. What a nightmare! At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, this compost bin has changed my life. No more nastiness and flies; just a quick change-out of the compostable bag. I don't even lift the wire arm to secure. The bags stretch over the sides securely. There have been no smells or flies with this compost solution. I couldn't be more pleased! Note: I tried the 3 gal Biobag bags for replacements and they split so easily, I couldn't even get one bag to work. Now I use the Full Circle Fresh Air Biodegradable Compost Bags, 2.5 Gallon from Amazon and they are perfect.

Pros: I like the look & the size, easy to clean Cons: I got 100's of fruit flies (NO EXAGGERATION) in my kitchen that congregated in, on, & around the container. The bags that come with this leak & since the bottom is not fully solid that leakage got all over my counter top & then the floor as I tried to get it to the sink to drain before bringing the food outside to my full size bin. I tried a produce bag from my local store & that worked much better holding in liquid but I forgot to change out the bag when I had gone away for a long weekend I came back to a wet counter.

This is the best food scrap container. I love the push button and removable frame that holds the compostable bag. It works perfectly and looks great. What more can you ask for?

Bought this like a year ago. Long story to short, it just does not work in tropical countries. I am living in Singapore and this item just attracting more of fruit flies and all kinds of bugs I must say. To me, it was a total waste of money.

This has been a life changer. It does the job and it looks good too so I can keep it outside of the cupboard. Awesome product. Worth the money.

Great hygenic rubbish bin, a must buy for food scraps

Best food scrap bin out there. Those green bin types are fully enclosed thick plastic which makes you think they work but really they make the food fester into pools of liquid and begin to decompose the bags before you get them to the curb. But this amazing bin has air flow circulation which prevents that from happening. You don’t smell the decomposition unless you leave it in there long and you usually have to be at the bin to smell it. There is openings at the bottom of bin so beware that it could leak liquid if you leave bag in too long but this only happened once or maybe twice in the almost 2 years since I’ve been using these bins but the liquid did go all over the counter. To prevent that I put a low height tray underneath it to catch leaks in 1 of my bins (I have 3 in my house because we have a full kitchen upstairs and a broken up kitchen area downstairs which has a bin by the sink in a separate room from the kitchen.) I had to replace one bin recently because the plastic closure snap broke and it wasn’t that old but the others have stood up well. I’ll never go back to anything but these bins. Easy to clean because lid fully comes off and you can rinse the entire thing in the sink. You can slide the lid off to easily pull out the bag. Also the lid design actually keeps the bag attached and secure unlike the green bins which might rip stretching over the opening. Also green bin lids don’t close easily but these do. Make sure you lock the bag down with the wire fitting otherwise the lid won’t close properly - took me a while to figure out why my lid didn’t want to close all the time after a bag change. Expensive yes but superior product. I can’t imagine how you could regret it.

This is a dream compost bin!! Pops open so easy. Closes so easy. Light weight and pleasing to look at. And it has ZERO SMELL. No wonder it got a design award, we’ve been using it for three months and I have never had any smell come from it. So great to pop on the counter when prepping a meal. It also comes apart easily to place in the dishwasher for periodic deep cleans when needed. No mess. No smell. No hassle. Visually pleasing. If You’re thinking about it just get one!!!!!
