My Weigh CTS-6000 Digital Counting Scale

This scale is absolutely perfect for my needs. We use them for the counting function to keep track of small inventory items and it is always spot on! I put a small box on it, tare it to zero, put 20 items in the box, push the counting button and tell it how many I put in. Then I dump a large quantity of the items in and it tells me the exact amount I put in. Fantastic! BE SURE to use it on the floor when you can. A flat floor. Not on any glass surface or counter top because it will behave strangely and the numbers will fluctuate on their own even though its completely stationary. BE SURE that the metal pan is fully seated in the grooves so that its perfectly flat as it should be. BE SURE to adjust the feet so that there is no wobble in any direction on the unit. This is a very high quality unit, and I'm pretty sure that anyone who wrote a bad review either got a bad one (it happens) or they aren't using it right. I also love that its battery powered too... very convenient.

The scale appears to work OK as a counting scale. I am disappointed with the scale because the instructions tell you to calibrate the scale the first time you use it with a 4kg weight and for the best accuracy every time you use it.. The scale did not come with a 4kg weight so you can not calibrate the scale per the instructions.

Purchaced for counting bicycle nipples and spokes at our bike shop. On a initial use, it seemed to work great, but when I checked that counting function actually shows correct results, with 30 nipples on scale, each measurement would show between 29 and 31. Checked leveling several times, still same results. Also noticed built-in bubble level is way off, may it got damaged during shipping due to poor packaging. Hoping seller will accept a return. Will not buy same product, looking for something more expensive and hopefully higher quality.

This scale is great for piece-count. 5 stars if I could switch to calibration mode without a power cycle. ##UPDATE after 2 years Yes, still an amazing scale. It won't calibrate now, and the battery power never worked, but I still give it a solid 4 stars. We'll soon see how well their repair company does.

The biggest downside is the size. It's about the size of a small pizza box so it takes up some space. Other than that it's fantastic. 0.1g accuracy that really is accurate. I'm always hesitant to trust the counting function but every time I break down and count the pieces by hand it's always accurate. (counting screws which each weigh approximately 0.4 grams) Will stay on as long as you have the on switch turned on. No more infuriating auto off settings messing up weights in the middle of a job. You can adjust the response rate so if you're measuring out liquids or grains you can quickly tell when to stop. By default, this is a little slow but the adjustment procedure is clear and in the manual. Some functions are a little unintuitive at first but once you know which buttons to push it's quite simple. I would recommend reading the manual, and then it's easy to store under the machine for reference.

This seems like a well made product. I have no complaint with it's construction. My problem is that the scale doesn't appear to indicate weights in troy measurement. It seems to only offer ounce and pound weights in AVDP format. the conversion SHOULD be a very simple matter for ANY computerized device. I have a tiny ten dollar scale that offers both, but I wanted something capable of handling heavy weights. I've checked the owners manual and if the conversion feature is in there, I can't find it. Since I'm using this scale for precious metals, I have to first weigh the material, then use my laptop computer to convert the weight into a troy measurement using a 1996 freeware program called Convert. It's an extra step that should NOT be necessary. So I suggest you DO NOT buy this product if you want to measure precious metals. But it seems to be a good product for other uses such as a postal weights.

This is why I kept this one. I needed a scale for counting and this one allows any sample size to be used. Simply drop 1 or more on the scale scale, enter the quantity and a blue triangle key. Now you can out all the pieces on the scale and it will count them. Very quick and simple. The built-in battery looks like a 5 cell NiCD or NiMh pack and I tested if for 12 hours straight use and was still going. The serial connection also works great and has 3 options, continuous sending, only sending when stable and not 0, or press a button the scale to send. Very sensitive as you can blow on the scale and it will detect it, but there is an option to help prevent it, but I did not test it.

Firstly, this scale is HUGE! Secondly, I wanted it to count very small items for my business, and this just isn't accurate enough I'm afraid. I liked being able to set a weight for x amount of pieces as a tare, but without the accuracy it was useless to me. Might be ok for weighing larger pieces though. Returned for a refund, seller was very helpful in this regard.
