No more runny poo!
I adopted two cats from a hoarder situation and they came stressed and neglected. Their poop was really loose, runny and stinky and their fur was oily and crunchy. I started them on this probiotics, one scoop each for a week then cut back to half a scoop a day. I mix it in their (higher quality) wet food with a little water to blend with the food. A few weeks later their poops were nice and firm (never thought I'd get excited over poop) and their fur softened up with a nice shine. Even my extremely picky senior would eat it with no issues. I recommend it!

Good supplement
Everyone always complements on how soft her fur is and her stools always come out normal. My puppies breeder had her on this and wanted us to continue so we have ever since. Seems to be working well,Con: only con & it’s with packaging is the scoop in everyone I’ve gotten in at the bottom, so I’ve had to dump product into a bowl to get the scoop out and then put the product back in.

Product made using dairy and gluten....sensitive animals will react!!!!!!
Beware....this product is produced from milk and gluten....my allergic cat and dog were having severe reactions and I kept thinking it was their food and eliminating and changing everything. Never would it have occurred to me that it could be their probiotic which was purchased with the thought that it would contribute to their healing of allergy problems. It was only due to a family crisis that prohibited me from taking the time to provide this supplement that I found their problem clearing up....I didn't put two and two together until I restarted the product and what do you know....the diarrhea, hives and vomiting were back. I called the company and they verified the use of milk and gluten as the base for their product. However, their packaging has no such warning. I will say that they did respond respectfully to my comments that animals who have sensitivities to milk and gluten will have a great deal of trouble with this product. However, they did not offer to refund my money. I have to say that that is the smallest expense that I have incurred with respect to this....I have had to have a couple of doctor visits...I've gotten rid of perfectly good food that we could have probably used, and I've had a lot of upset and worry over the issue. And all that doesn't even cover the numerous messes that I've cleaned or the duress that my pets have suffered. They have sent me a survey to complete providing the information of my experience. I will complete this so that hopefully no one else will have to go through this...Honestly, they could have at least mentioned this on their label. It makes me wonder whether they are considering the whole health of their clients.....God bless!

I bought this because my 9yr old 60 lb. female red nose Staffordshire would get itchy every spring. Other than springtime sensivities I believed her to be in great condition. As she aged the springtime problems got worse every year. She had had cortisone shots and prednisone pills in the past which helped her get thru the worst months but I knew the side effects were no good for her or me. Early last spring, while dreading those warmer months coming on for my girl Seri, I started researching different approaches to help her thru the miserably itchy time of year. I decided to try this probiotic for her and started with a half of scoop (1/2 dose) a.m. and p.m. to get her used to it. I sprinkled it on her kibble. She didn't seem to mind the powder, but for some reason she slowed her bites down and chewed more which was a good thing. Even though she was not in full itch mode at the time, what symptoms their were, started abating within 4 days. I gradually brought her up to full dose and kept her there to this day. Her itching went away and never fully materialized again. I have tried to lower her dose a couple times, but when I do, she shows signs of the itch coming back. So I don't hesitate to bring her back up to full dose right away. Even tho she used to make it thru the cold months fine, I will continue a probiotic, likely for the rest of her life. Seri has had a very active life and is still very active. In fact excercise was most important when she was in her itchy phases - it would take the edge off. As she got older she developed a periodic limp in her front shoulder. She also had a tendency for weight fluctuations and bloat. With this product all of that went away as well. Her coat became softer and her smell is sweeter too. She is overall a very happy, playful and balanced girl dog. Still going horseback and bike riding with me and in great condition. I do know she would not be as healthy if I had not started her on this probiotic 8 months ago. It gives me new hope for my 4 legged partner in her golden years. 4 months ago I put her on a New food that is very low in simple carbs. The least amount of grains, peas or potatoes I could find. I wish it were easier to find a dog food that is made the way it was 40 yrs ago; out of the things that were good for dogs. It has changed for the worse. Poor puppies. Thought about a raw diet but that seemed extreme for a 9 yr old. Aaah well. Hope this helps someone with their dog. If your dog is young and you are starting to see some itchy ear and coat problems, whether all year or certain times of the year, make some changes now because the symptoms get worse as they age. There is no getting around it. Also excercise your friend, large or small. There is no substitute for a hike-about, Even a short one. A yard, no matter how big is nothing but a fish bowl. If you listen, you can hear the frustration in a dogs barking in your neighborhood that is stuck in a fish bowl 24/7. Take them out regularly and that frustrated barking, digging, fence fighting etc. Will go away. Good Luck All. Thanks!

Used to transition cat from dry food to wet
We have a senior cat who needs more moisture (older kitty kidneys, you know how it is), but she's always turned her nose up at wet food. We were trying a full range of suggestions to make this transition as easy as possible, and I hope the advice helps someone else: this Bark & Whiskers powder, Braggs Nutritional Yeast, and a basic pate (I chose Fancy Feast for now). I swear she took to it overnight. I've tried multiple combinations of wet food, her prior dry food, yeast, and powder, but she seems to love every component. No scent, seemingly no flavor, or at least not one she found offensive. It very likely blends into the strong flavor of the food itself.Even if it had taken a few weeks to make this transition, that brings us to now, and there's still tons of powder left. I'm happy to include it as an additional supplement at this point. Absolutely worth a shot and worth the money if you have a finicky cat (or one with digestive issues!) trying to make a change.
