Incredible portable sound from a small package
I needed a speaker I could take anywhere - particularly outdoors or on holiday. I was particularly keen on the Bose sound core II- however it was a bit too beyond my budget. I came across the Marshall Emberton which looked the perfect size and build quality for my budget. Reviews were pretty good so went against my normal try before you buy and ordered. The sound quality is outstanding for its size- in my opinion equal to the bose at a lower price. Decent bass and volume and I would agree with other reviews that say it excels in the vocals. The build quality is solid and it looks fantastic wherever you put it. I particularly like the central rocker switch, which is responsive and quickly allows you to change tracks and volume with minimal fuss. The battery seems to last forever and the battery level indicator is a useful feature. Small criticism would be no aux input - although i bought it to be portable so unlikely ever to want to plug a device into it. Bluetooth range is ok - not fantastic I usually need to be in the same room to avoid any stuttering- I have come from using chromecast audio where range is not an issue- but less portable. I was surprised to read that despite it using Bluetooth 5.0 it uses an SBC codec rather than more recent AptX or AAC, which offer better latency and marginal improvement in sound quality. Not that I've noticed anything detrimental to the sound quality. Overall an outstanding portable speaker for the money!

Happy husband
My husband had been hinting for this for a while, was the only thing he said he wanted for Christmas. Told him it was too expensive so he'd have to have a cheaper one. 😉 Cue lots of sulking. However I had a plan and managed to get it in the black Friday sale, saving a few quid. Got him to open other presents first (including a hard shell carry case which left him very perplexed and confused) and I saved this till last, actually thought he was going to shed a tear when he realised what it was. It emits a very bassy little jingle when turned on which seems to excite him and lures him into disappearing for hours on end with it, only popping back occasionally to tell me how amazing his new toy is, waffling on about sound quality being perfect, how the battery life is amazing, how it outlasts anything he's had before and how good it looks. I often hear him reminiscing about when he'd put his phone or speaker in a pint glass back in the day to amplify the sound and how he doesn't have to anymore. I've overheard them planning holidays and outdoor adventures, fishing and camping etc. I think they may even be expecting or at least planning a family since I came across a Google search for linking more than one Marshall Bluetooth speaker at a time. I think it's quite safe to say it's a hit

Great product
The Marshall Emberton II is a compact powerhouse, delivering impressive sound in a portable package. Its rugged design makes it perfect for on-the-go use, while its long battery life ensures hours of uninterrupted playback. With crisp highs, rich mids, and surprising bass for its size, the Emberton II delivers a balanced and immersive listening experience. Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to pair with devices, and the multi-directional control knob adds a touch of vintage flair. Overall, the Emberton II is a solid choice for those seeking premium sound quality in a portable speaker.

High end quality Bluetooth speaker.
After purchasing a Tronsmart Force 2 (now £50!) & returning it for connection issues I upgraded to this little beauty! Over double the price of the previous but you get what you pay for. Superb sound with great tones. The bass, for me, is just what I was looking for. Charging the unit took around 3 hours out of the box. It’s a tad heavy but that assures you of its sturdy build. After charging the red line charge indicators tell you where you are for battery life. None of that sudden death battery gone mode! Helps to keep you on top of your charging. Some music can be almost too bassy but I use Spotify so I can use my equaliser on the app to adjust. Great connectivity too. I’ve not lost connection with it all & once I turn the speaker on it automatically connects with my iPhone straight away. Love this unit & would highly recommended 👌🏻

Impressive sound in a small package at a good price.
This small speaker packs a major punch and that makes it worth its seemingly large asking price. It conveniently sits on a bookshelf in my office and easily fills the room with rich, deep sound. The bluetooth connection is seamless and I like how the speaker turns itself off when not in use. One gets a lot of sound in a small package with this one; I wouldn't necessarily make it my main system, but it works wonderfully it you need a bit of sound in the bedroom or office.

Excellent (BUY ME) Bluetooth Speaker
Having bough a Bose 4.2 standard Bluetooth speaker initially then found that my 2019 Google Pixel 3A phone was Bluetooth 5.0 hence would not connect. After trying every avenue to connect the bluetooth speaker I gave up & called customer service. The product was discoverable but not connect. Bose customer service diagnosed the connection issue as the clash of Bluetooth standards. I asked whether Bose sold any 5.0 standard Bluetooth standards. After a check there was only a pair ear plugs. I searched for a second speaker with 5.0 Bluetooth then found the Marshall. I am so pleased with the Marshall Emberton. The sound for such a small unit is excellent. It linked quickly & without hassle. It is IPX7 waterproof which is a nice bonus feature! I would recommend the speaker to anyone! I had a Marshall digital radio for 10 years and experienced great sound before one of my children managed to snap the aerial connection. It is highly rated & I can hear why! I really wish that I had chosen it in the first place! Too early for battery life as it is only day one! :-) Moral buy the Marshall if your phone supports the modern Bluetooth 5.0 standard!

Only for those looking for good sound quality and not power
Its amazing having that sound quality in so diminute size. The sound is pretty clear, but sometime too much. It depens on what type of music you are playing. If you turn up the volume more than 80% then the mid tones get all the presence and you will fill the lack of bass sounds. They literally disappear. It feels a bit too much boomy. I have tried to equalize it but you dont have too much control of it. The sound is touched from the construction, its not plain at all. Anyway I'm pretty happy with this device.. Maybe for less money you may choose another speaker that may also fulfill your expectations. The construction is beautiful and fills pretty strong. I'm grateful for the battery indicator. It is a annoying lie that the battery lasts up to 20 hours

Pass through charging!!! Amazing speaker!!!
The marshal speaker is nothing short of 5 stars. As big a sound as a device twice its size and it looks like a mini guitar amp. Pass through charging is the biggest hit, totally possible to charge while listening. And it’s small enough to fit in a laptop bag.
