194 HP5 LED Bulbs (Pair), Cool White (6000K)

These bulbs are fantastic. I was first introduced to them with my Subaru. I had them in my first Ascent, which was sent back to Subaru with issues and then the replacement one I also equipped the interior bulbs as well which were not part of the LED package.I have since I added these to my newerLexus GX 460 for all the interior lighting, backup bulbs, and running board bulbs.What I like most about these bulbs is that you can decide the brightness you want and the color that you like. As an example in all the SUVs I’ve had, I’ve put a slightly brighter bulb in the hatch area to make it easier to see what I’m trying to get when I open the back door at night. I like to go with the non-bluish tint white light on the interior and the exterior I will match whatever the headlights are which tend to have a little bluish tint.These are very easy to install and fit perfectly. As mentioned earlier, the color are consistent between all the bulbs and you pick the color based on the color temperature that you want.I have used these bulbs since 2020 on 4 various cars and all that time I’ve only had one bulb of probably three dozen plus that I’ve purchased flicker. I’d reached to the company and they were very quick to replace it under Warranty.I highly, highly recommend this brand in these bulbs to anybody looking to upgrade interior bulbs for their vehicles. I was initially hesitant because they are a little more expensive than some of the other ones on Amazon, but they are well worth it and I’ve had no issues except for that one flickering bulb out of the many dozens I’ve bought.

Diode Dynamics doesn't mess around. Pricey stuff, but worth it. The lights are so bright it actually helps me see better at night from my backup camera. 194 HP5 was an OEM fit for a 5th Gen Dodge Caravan. The HP5 6000k is the brightest one they make, which is what I went with.

I have purchased 4 sets of these over the past 4 years for vehicles I have purchased that had led bulbs all around except for the rear license plate lights. In all those years over various vehicles, I have never had one of these fail. The same can not be said for other brands I purchased before going with diode dynamic bulbs. They cost a little more but you pay for quality. They are plenty bright no matter mounting position in my experience (whether they mount facing straight down towards the lens or at the side of the lens) and like I said, never have I had a problem with a burn out, light on my dash etc etc. I trust this brand and will purchase from them again when needed and will continue to recommend them.

Used the Diode Dynamics 194 HP5 LED Bulbs (Pair), Cool White to illuminate my new side markers on my Toyota 86. The LED slotted into the outlet perfectly and illuminates significantly brighter than the OEM side markers. Very happy with this simple modification and the brightness of the LED. Time will tell how long they last, but I’m feeling happy with the over-all purchase.

I bought it for the map light on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had purchased another quality brand, which in this specific location gave me a lot of problems. The bulb had contact issues with the socket. With this brand, those problems are over; I save myself from having to replace the socket. As for how long it will last, time will tell; I've only had it for a few months. It lights up very well and doesn't flicker. However, in my opinion, it's very expensive.

I like them a lot. However they don’t seem to last much longer than 14-16 months till the white LED’s start failing. So this is my second purchase of a pair and today 06/26 the left one failed. The right one failed about two or so months ago. Even with this I do appreciate the lights two color modes being a nice white and turning amber for turn signals.

Most cheap LED aftermarket wedge bulbs are just like most aftermarket LED headlight bulbs, 6000k or 6500k in color, meaning they have an unattractive bluish tint. This is a terrible idea inside a car interior where color rendering is important. If you have an all-black interior you might be able to get away with it, but beige or ivory or brown interiors will look an ugly gray under this type of lighting. I learned this from experience in the past. Even 5000k color would be problematic. 4000k is ideal white light. I chose the HP5 bulbs because in addition to the OEM bulbs looking too brown, the light output was too dim. Diode Dynamics makes HP3's that are less bright for lower cost. The one other place I would use these color-perfect bulbs is over the license plate, but I think the HP3's would be adequately bright for that purpose. I took before and after photos of my map light fixture, and then a photo comparing the new map lights to the dome light over the back seat that still uses the OEM halogen bulb. What a difference! Remember, these LED bulbs are likely going to last the life of the car, and they dramatically improve your vehicle's appearance, so don't balk at the initial high price.
