Good product
Nice alternative to A1 steaksauce. Salty umami flavor. Will buy again.

Very Different and I LIke It
I never heard of this stuff until recently. I just had to try it. It is similar to Worcetershire sauce but not really. It's better! I had some on a steak and on a hamburger steak and it was excellent. Expensive, but I really kind of liked it. It's very different. Give it a try. You would think for the exorbitant price that they could get the labels on straight! LOL

Something a little different
Another YouTube influenced buy. Wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but it’s okay. Not stoning like Worcestershire sauce . I would say nicely subtle mushroom in the background sorta tasting. Still not quite as tasty as real mushrooms.

Bring it back with original flavor
In consistency (viscosity) and general flavor, this most resembles Worcestershire Sauce or fish sauce, the basis for original ketchup, versus the thick tomato ketchup you're probably more familiar with. Very tasty, very umami. My bottle came very well padded (yay!) but in almost completely non-recyclable shipping (boo!). To be fair, part of that was to prevent leakage if indeed the bottle broke, but still, room for improvement.

Taste like soy sauce and is thin, not ketchup
I was expecting a thick sauce with the name “ketchup” in the title. I imagined a type of thick steak sauce type flavor with the name. Instead this is extremely thin and soy is the main ingredient. I believe the ingredients only had 3% mushroom powder in it. It is too expensive to replace standard soy sauce. It did NOT taste bad, but did not taste anything like “mushrooms” or “ketchup”.

A kitchen essential in my house
I use this all the time, added in stews and sauces, to pep them up a bit

A taste of long ago
I do a lot of historical cooking for various museums and historical sites. As such, I was making 18th century meat pies and was looking for an appropriate flavoring for the gravy. This mushroom ketchup was recommended and it was a wonderful addition to the dish. Sort of like what would happen if Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce and a pound of mushrooms had a threesome. Nice depth of flavor.

This is a game changer. Simply add a couple of spoons to a casserole and you’ll transform your dish with full flavours. Really takes food to the next level! (Don’t focus on the word ‘ketchup’, this is actually closer to the consistency of soy sauce.)

Liquid mushroom sauce rather than ketchup.

Given we're all after saving money right now, I wondered why I kept buying dried porcini mushrooms, which are quite expensive, mostly just for the flavour. I then remembered this mushroom ketchup which I used when first married. It really gives a beef casserole a boost but it can be used on anything really, chicken or veggie and particularly if your sauce or gravy comes out a bit watery. It's a great flavour filler and you only need a few drops
