Mary Ann's Naturals Organic Handcrafted Deodorant with Light Citrus Scent - 2 oz.

This is the BEST, and I mean BEST organic and completely natural deodorant you can get! Unlike a lot of the other brands, this actually works! TMI, but I have hormone issues and when that is flared I sweat... a LOT. Ever since I have gone natural I have tried dozens of deodorants and haven't found one that I didn't have to apply several times throughout the day. All I needed to apply this one was once in the morning, and then once after washing up at night.The reason I gave it 4 stars is.... This deodorant is the best IF you don't have a sensitivity to baking soda. Granted, the baking soda used is an "organic" brand... but baking soda sensitivity is baking soda sensitivity! I started developing a rash a couple of weeks in and it became so painful... So now I am going to try to make my own, but I'm going to use a lot of the ingredients (minus the baking soda) found in Mary Ann's. If Mary Ann made one without baking soda I would definitely buy it :)

I bought this for myself and my 12 year old daughter as I don't want either of us using the deodorants with aluminum in and I've been testing out a variety of brands. I used it a couple of times before my daughter claimed it as her own, and liked it... you scoop a pea sized amount out and rub it under your armpit (the scoop comes with the deodorant). It rubs in very quickly and has a mild citrus scent. Like most natural deodorants I find I need to reapply half way through the day. My daughter likes it too, but would prefer it in an applicator form (like the clear enzyme deodorant stick from Alba Botanica) as it's not a liquid format so wouldn't work as a roll on. Delivery was extremely fast directly from the company (who even sent me a couple of samples of her other products with the deodorant). I think we'll be buying this one again when we run out.

When my daughter was born, I stopped using toxic chemicals and scented products. I didn't want toxins transferred in my breastmilk, and I didn't want to overpower her with heavily scented products....especially something like antiperspirant/deodorant, which would be right by her little nose while she nursed.Fast-forward two years, and I've tried everything: NO deodorant, DIY deodorant recipes, plain EVCO, Burt's Bees (smells like a car air freshener), Jason, Nature's Gate...and a handful of others that I can't recall.I am so glad I stumbled upon this brand!!Not only is the scent mild and not overwhelming (very light and reminds me of an orange creamscicle. I can only smell it if I sniff my own armpits), but it also works.Do I still sweat? Sure, because I'm not clogging my pores and keeping my lymph nodes overwhelmed with my body's toxins that it's trying to excrete...but I DONT STINK!And I don't need to reapply.And it doesn't give me the burn that other baking soda recipes have.And this jar seems to be lasting FOREVER.Awesome product and will definitely be buying again as well as recommending to friends.

I have been using natural deodorant for over a year. I used to make my own spray to use. It was effective but I started to have trouble with a rash especially if I shaved. I don't have any issues with this product. The scent is very light and dissipates so most of the day you smell neutral. I am average when it comes to sweating but very athletic, so I have road tested it under some serious conditions and I didn't stink more than usual :) (Hey- by that point I'm sweating in a lot of different places.) I just wish you got a little more for a little less money. This lasted me about 4 months.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and it outperforms and works very effectively against body odor compared to any other natural deodorants I have used.over the last several years. I am able to go all day without feeling the need to reapply, and I was not able to do that with other natural deodorants. . I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it. I will definitely purchase it again, and I would like to try other Mary Ann's natural products based on the excellent quality of this one. The only problem with my order was the glass container that holds the deodorant was cracked along the bottom and I will not be able to use the layer of deodorant product towards the bottom of the jar..

This deodorant smells great, keeps your underarms dry and has no harmful chemicals! A lot of people have commented on getting a rash from it, fear not first timers, I believe this rash to be your body adjusting to sweating again. I used to use Dove antiperspirant but when I found out it had aluminum and other preservatives in it I made the switch to Mary Ann's. I do experience a mild rash under my arms from time to time but I really believe it is because my underarms sweat again. The rash clears up quickly overnight, especially if you put some Aloe on. As your body gets used to sweating and this product the rash becomes less frequent. Give it a try you will be glad you did!

it works pretty good not crazy about the scent when you first put it on but goes away pretty quick it is a little inconvenient to put on, would be nice to be in a container that you don't have to dip your fingers/ or tool in to apply but it keeps me odor free all day will probably buy again

Good news: it worked really, really well. Even acted as an anti-perspirant. Great stuff. Bad news: I broke out in a rash. Kept hoping it would go away, but finally stopped using the product after 3 weeks. Also, you have to apply this with your fingers, which is messy because it's hard to get it off without a significant amount of soap--it almost felt kind of like needing dishwashing soap to get stubborn grease off. I found that Kiss My Face roll-on liquid rock works 90-95% as well for me without the rash or mess.
