A good entry point into 3d printing
So, I think this is an excellent entry point into 3d printing. The models it has produced have been really good quality. I have also been pleasantly surprised by how little PLA it uses in printing. So, the things to be aware of: the build instructions leave a lot to be desired and the model described in the instructions does quite match up to one in the box, which was 'tricky'. There are some good online videos from a well known video site that provide really good walk-through instructions. I have used autodesk to create models and the manufacturer's rendering software to print (which has been fine). The levelling of the bed is an art, and let the bed go stone cold before trying to remove anything. I was surprised how long it took to print, but I no longer watch it printing having seen it operating fine over a month. I'd recommend this printer to anyone looking to dip a toe in: it's been good fun.

Great for beginners
Well packaged item, it was easy to assemble and had it printing within the hour. i would recommend this printer to anyone who is starting, it has its learning curves and things you will change over time but these are enchantments to be made with anything, working with tools like CURA i am able to create much better prints and define the extrusion alot better.Great tool for starters to get them into the platform and move forward.

Avoid
Didn't work would power on, power supply came on but nothing showing on LCD. At first I thought I might have made some sort of error when assembling and connecting but after checking the instructions and watching videos on You Tube still couldn't get it work. Returned for full refund and will look at other brands to replace this junk pile.

Things to know
Having many printers I thought i would try the Geetech A10 again as in the past the quality was very poor, They say 10min to setup, This is true if you want to run a poor printer, The first thing you will need to do is replace all 4 bed wheels, they are seriously notched you only need to run the bed forward to see this and will effect print quality, the other is the 3 wheels on the x axis they are notched as well, I installed dampers on the steppers which really helps with the noise. Once this is done you'll have a really good printer, The motherboard is so much quicker than the creality which once you get 3 or 4 files on the memory card the creality is painful, not with the geetech the menus are fast. If Geetech addressed the wheel problem they would have a perfect printer and i'm sure it's a simple fix as they are over tight so probably caused during assembly. Also it shows the word "PRO" on the pictures which is not on the printer you receive, if they are selling as a pro then you think they would include a glass bed as the one supplied is useless, just purchase some ikea mirror tiles they work perfectly.

Beginners 3D printer
All in all this 3D printer has been excellent so far, was packaged really well so no signs of any damage, was easy to put together with a few basic tools (all included) and once together I had it printing straight away with no alterations needed with the final product being of a good quality print. I'm well chuffed to be able to start playing around with 3D printing now

Common problem
I bought this printer as it had good reviews. However I was not prepared for an old and common problem to still exist and by the looks of it I'm expected to rectify it. The problem I speak of is the error message "MINTEMP". Apparently this error was known 4 years ago and this has happened to me twice now resulting in a lot of wasted filament/plastic. The nozzle has now stuck to the plastic model with no way of heating it up as the display is showing the temperature as -10c.In regards to assembling do not expect it to be a 15 minute job if this is your first 3d printer. It took me 3 hours to do the assembly properly but it gave me an appreciation of how it works.Still not very happy though.

Great entry level 3d printer
Fairly easy for a novice to set up. Check out the online videos if you are having issues. Got it paired up with octoprint using a raspberry pi and so impressed with the quality of the prints coming from an entry level printer.
