Works with an impact wrench
It worked for my Ford Fusion after a tire shop over torqued the lugs when replacing a tire. The chrome cap of the first two got stuck in the socket. I put a vice grip on the cap and put impact wrench, socket and vice grip on the floor to remove the cap.One the second two, I just used the socket and impact wrench enough to loosen the lug nut. I hammered a flat screw driver into the caps and removed them with vice grip. Then I used a smaller socket. On the final one; I hammered the screw driver into the cap and removed it before using the socket.I hope I never need it again, but I'm sure keeping it, just in case.I suspect the users that had the socket break were using breaker bars instead of an impact wrench. Different applications of force. The instructions say to use an impact wrench.

Some worked some didn’t, but well worth it when they do work.
I bought 4 of these. One worked well to take a stripped lug nut off my Jeep Cherokee wheel, but then I couldn’t get the lug nut out. Two of them cracked without pulling the Lugnuts off. I guess it’s a 50-50 deal, sometimes they work and then they more than pay for themselves and sometimes they break or don’t work in which case you lose money. It is very expensive to have Lugnuts taken off by professional so these may be worth a try.

Remove those lugs like a boss
So, if you don't have a vice know this is going to only be one time use. The key is to use a regular ratchet and get it to start grabbing a few times around. Then, make sure you have a strong impact probably 500lbs min or large breaker bar. And make sure it's set to go left, just like the ratchet. It will come off after it stops turning itself, then you'll be back in action. Unless you have superhero gorilla strength or a vise, then you're probably going to toss it in the trash, but you saved an hour labor at a mechanic, so it's a win!

Weak
It broke immediately. I thought it was for a hammer drill. Weak. I used the drill to get the socket on. Then the T-bar until it stopped turning. I switched over to the extended breaker bar. I thought I was making progress until it broke. Very disappointed.

Don’t use on 2 piece lug bolts
Hasn’t split like others have said. But don’t use with an impact on dodge 2 piece lug bolts cuz you will break the crappy chrome cap in half in the socket. If you have a vise it’s pretty easy to get it out with a hammer and screw driver. Then you have to pry the rest of the cap off and use a smaller socket.

Got the McGard wheel locks off!
13/16" CTA Tools Lug Nut Remover...Very good! Had my doubts when it arrived as it seemed too small, but with impact wrench the McGards came off easily. Had to grind flat spots onto lock nuts once they were free to secure them in bench vise and impact them in forward direction to get them out. The 3rd lock nut was too stubborn and broke the bench vise... collateral damage. 4th nut I was able to get off by hammering on a 12pt 3/4" socket to the nut. Will buy a new vise and see if the socket and tool will come off of the nuts. Never using lock nuts again. Thanks!

gave it a try
I have no doubt that this thing works, but I took a chance I could get it on a 21mm nut and that did not work.Solid tool as I beat the hell out it trying to get it to work.
