OMG I was super confused which keyboard to get from apple or Brydge pro +.I chose Brydge pro + because it had the extra edge.I am glad I brought it.It’s beautiful, looks like a MacBook, works great, fab design.Great for lap lovers.Great feature is when I want a tablet, I just pull it off.Only downfall- it’s abit heavy. But who cares when it has everything but more.

I don’t write reviews often but having done a bit of digging it would seem many people have a similar issue so thought I would just add my experience to the mix.The idea of this keyboard is great, looks sleek, makes the iPad look and function like a laptop and a great idea. Bluetooth worked well, battery seemed ok but I’m a low user.The hinges hold the laptop very very tightly and the little rubber covers on the hinge do slip off from time to time and so it doesn’t work quite as cleanly as it should for the price. It is also hard to detach and reattach the iPad easily, it’s not super easy to just flip between having the keyboard attached or detached, that might annoy you if you do that a lot (I don’t). On the upside it’s very secure once it’s in place.However, my experience hasn’t been great - my first keyboard arrived with a very stiff left hinge, it got stiffer and stiffer over time and eventually seized up and wouldn’t close after 3 months of very low use. Brydge sent me a replacement (after I “destroyed” mine as evidence). Was pleased with customer service on that and was pretty smooth process.Sadly the second one developed the same fault, slowly the left hinge stopped working. The second one is only about 3 months old but out of return and refund period now so am stuck with it and brydge don’t offer a second replacement or repair service. They offered me a discount on a new one. That’s all well and good but I don’t want to buy another and in a few months time have the same issue, I’ll be out over £300 and still have no working keyboard. It’s too much of a risk for me. I don’t have money to burn.After some research I found the hinges are a common problem with this keyboard - breaking off, losing their rubber covers, becoming very tight, getting stiff or stuck. You’d think this is something they would look into, especially as these are not cheap items and they don’t offer a repair service.All in all, very disappointed to be out £159 for something that’s essentially useless within a few months of low use. Unless you don’t mind taking this risk I would steer clear.

I love the feel of a Brydge product, it’s just well made and inexpensive for the quality vs say apple OEM.There are few minor differences from their format to Apple standards that can take a bit of getting used to, and a few things i would like to change for it such as the keypad not having a ‘stay on backlit’ option, instead you have three arguably all very much the same brightness settings in place. I also think the option to have ‘programmable keys’ or at least the function ones as your own shortcuts is a tad of a missed opportunity too.As for the trackpad, it too has some differences when using and i think a few bugs with it still exist which I hope brydge can fix through the firmware, it sometimes doesn’t quite respond with the intended click actions and brings up different menus... however this might be personal setup issues i will admit and others may not experience. As for the rest of the hardware. The magnetic backing comes loose at times and could do with being more permanently fixed, but i guess i could use some d.sided taping to resolve that! The only other snag is the weight from the iPad at the back of a laptop sitting position... it makes you rethink your ‘position requirements’ when trying to type or view the screen in some ways a laptop’s ballast favours.I would wholeheartedly recommend this however, and one of the major pluses comes from the predictive text being at the bottom of the screen and at keyboard height as you can punch words out so much quicker than you would fully typing them, with a little practice i found it massively improved my dictation time and accuracy... i can’t say enough good things about this improvement! I also shouldn’t forget to point out the siri button position is a charm.Go ahead and treat yourself with a true accessory for your iPad.. it really improves on your original investment!

The keyboard and software is brilliant however I am having issues with it closing , the lid stay slightly open but other then that’s it is a very good product , great value

Really do like the way it looks and feels and blends with iPad Pro perfectly easy to use makes it look like a laptop but versatile though ok may not have gestures like the magic keyboard but a lot less money and value for money and perfect for work or leisure

Purchased this to turn my 12.9" iPad Pro into a work tool...which it did, wonderfully, for a total of 3 days...and then the hinge sheared off. Really annoyed as I like most things about it...aluminium case, functionality and the fact I could work with it on my lap as well as on a desk.It was a but heavy, but then that is to be expected for a solid, robust bit of kit.But looks can be deceiving...without any warning the right-hand hinge just sheared off for no apparent reason. I clearly should have spent more tome looking at the reviews as there does appear to be a design flaw with the hinges. It's a shame, because I liked it.
