Great quality moss for orchid restoration!
My wife recently took a class on orchid care and started restoring all the orchids we have at home. This moss has been perfect for that — it’s clean, soft, and holds moisture really well without getting soggy. It also looks fresh and natural in the pots. Excellent product for repotting or reviving orchids, and a great value for the size of the bag.

Better-Gro Sphagnum Moss: My Go-To for Thriving Plants!
As an avid plant enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality growing mediums, and Better-Gro Sphagnum Moss has quickly become an absolute staple in my plant care routine. This isn't just any moss; it's truly superior! The quality is evident right out of the bag. It's long-fibered, clean, and free of excessive debris, which makes it a pleasure to work with. I've used it for a variety of purposes, and it consistently delivers outstanding results. For my orchids, it's simply the best. It provides that perfect balance of moisture retention and aeration that orchids crave, preventing root rot while keeping them hydrated. My Phalaenopsis and Cattleya orchids have never looked healthier, with vigorous root growth and beautiful blooms. Beyond orchids, I've found it indispensable for propagating cuttings. Whether I'm rooting a Monstera, Philodendron, or even a succulent, a bed of moist Better-Gro Sphagnum Moss creates the ideal humid environment, leading to quick and strong root development. It's also fantastic for carnivorous plants that require consistently moist, nutrient-poor conditions. What really sets it apart is its incredible moisture retention capacity without becoming waterlogged, coupled with excellent drainage and aeration. This combination is critical for healthy root systems, preventing common issues like compaction and suffocation. If you're serious about your plants and want to give them the best possible start or growing environment, I wholeheartedly recommend Better-Gro Sphagnum Moss. It's a premium product that genuinely makes a difference!

Better Gro Company is a good source of Orchid Materials
After buying junk from other vendors, I took my chances with this company. This might not be the best Sphagnum moss out there, but I liked it very much. I got also the best Orchid Bark from this company with a very good price.

Great sphag!
So happy I switched! Didn't find as much debris as others have claimed. I use this for my nepenthes and it retains moisture really well. It's growing even more with this medium than the previous sphag I was using. This one is a lot larger and fluffier. It doesn't take as long to rehydrate. It stays roughly the same size as it is dry. I definitely recommend and would buy again!

Good for moss poles
Great for moss poles. Does not stink like some other brands. Loses a star for being expensive and having too many sticks in it.

Great Quality
This is a great quality sphagnum moss from a trustworthy brand. This small bag held way more moss than I thought it would! The texture is great, and it has no smell. It retains plenty of water. I propagate cuttings and repot my orchids in this, and they are doing great.

Amazing for substrate for carnivorous plants
We used to never keep carnivorous plants alive We discovered 2 things 1. They can only be watered with distilled water and rain water 2. They don’t do well in soil they THRIVE in this spagnum moss !
