This is a top quality metal (vs original plastic) latch for a recliner chair. I bought this chair 20 years ago. It's ratty as hell but has substantial sentimental value to me. I thought it was dead when the latch broke- grandchildren were roughhousing on it I guess. The part that took the stress from the actuation spring and wire hookup broke off- reckon it got brittle with age. This one's metal there. I was very happy to see it. Also only took me five minutes to find it instead of the eternity I was expecting :D Good quality part, easy to put in, fit exactly. Tad expensive but quality is worth it. What's not to like?

This product is better than the original one that came on our La-Z-Boy. The original is plastic, but this one is metal. It was very easy to install and is a smoother fit than the one that came on the couch.. highly recommend as a replacement.

Have a La-Z-Boy love seat from 2008. Both sides recline. It had plastic release handles and one of the handles snapped (cable was fine). Got this metal one to replace it. Unfortunately there was no hole on the bottom bend so had to install it upside down to get it to work. Much stronger than the plastic one, so great in that respect.

The release handle on my recliner was made of plastic which is probably why it broke, but this replacement is all metal and fit perfect. It installed in minutes. Very happy with this purchase.

Was exactly what I needed for my recliner. Perfect fit. Matched up with my cable perfectly. Much stronger than my old plastic one which broke. Just measure your old one and it should work.

Excellent quality, easy to install and i would highly recommend this set over the plastic one . The only issue i had with this order for some reason the release button on this one is backwards to mine almost as if there is a left and right switch,but it works flawlessly

Purchased this item thinking it was plastic. It was metal! Works exactly as the plastic part it replaced except now it will not break where the plastic one did.
