This rubber foam bo staff is ideal for training and practicing your bo skills and techniques with less risk of injury. Features Ideal teaching tool for beginners 1-1/4 plastic core surrounded with 1/4 rubber foam 1-3/4 total diameter Available in 50 and 72 versions Review: Quality product - I bought this as a gift for my son, he practices with it all of the time and loves it. It has a nice weight and the foam hasn't ripped with hours of use. Review: Great for Beginners- Love it! - I am a complete beginner and have found this staff to be a wonderful teacher and practice weapon. If I lose my grip, I don't have to worry about damaging a wall or myself, the rubber padding lets me strengthen my grip, and the small simple design helps me find the center of the staff until it is common nature. The only issue is that it is a bit to talk for me - my fault entirely, as I did not do my research properly.

Will leave streaks on anything you hit
I like using this to practice form, but if you hit anything, ceiling, wall, etc. it WILL leave a black streak on it and it is a pain to get off. The only thing that works to get it off is a magic eraser, but that runs the risk of taking off whatever material the streak is on. I hit a bob punching bag with it and I can't get the streaks off, and like I said before I can't use magic eraser because that will remove the paint from the bob. It's a good product, just be very conscious of your surroundings.

These are awesome!
Love this thing. I got two of them so my bro and I could spare, and they work great. Just for a tip though don't ware anything that is jagged on your side, because it will catch it and tear it. I had a knife clip hanging out of my pocket and I just about ruined it before I figured out.

Great for practice
Son is using for practice on MMA, Tae Kwan Do, Martial Arts. It’s very light weight but sturdy, will hold up. Watched them practice and surprised it’s holding up. Good purchase.

6’ training staff
Very safe for training. The diameter could be smaller for easier grab.

The product has a plastic rod and easily breaks.
Not for actual play fighting. The product has a plastic rod and easily breaks.

good for beginner practice
I'm just starting with bo staff (I have been doing martial arts for three years), and this is a good practice tool. I use it in conjunction with my Body Opponent Bag to practice strikes, and then practice forms with it separately as well. I wish it were heavier, but it is the right size and thickness, is balanced well, and the foam padding keeps me from hurting myself or breaking things around the house! Good place to start if you are learning the staff.
