Seed Ranch St Augustine Seville Grass Plugs - 2 Trays

i was skeptical ordering live plants from Amazon, but the grass plugs arrived in perfect condition and are growing in our yard perfectly. I am considering ordering more!

The plugs arrived in excellent condition with good color and were strong enough to resist separation from each other. I had to cut the plugs apart with shears. I had great luck as it rained for a while after I planted them and this was a great as my irrigation system is awaiting repair.

I received my first order of two. There is always a worry they might not arrive in the best of shape especially if they've been sitting in a warehouse somewhere over the weekend but the packaging was excellent and my two packs arrived intact and not dried out. I was so happy I ordered another two flats. These were not as healthy looking as the first two. They did not have a piece of cardboard separating the two flats and the bottom flat did not look healthy (photo attached). It was kinda smushed down and many of the grass blades were yellow. I was skeptical about all that work (at 69 years old) to put them out and possibly watch them die. Contacted the company and was told this would resolve with time and it did. So only four stars because of that initial concern about the lack of cardboard between two flats and the stress of wondering if it would be worth my time...and my back. I had developed TARR (Take All Root Rot) in my last yard of St. Augustine from watering at 5 pm instead of 5 am. It started by the grass blades looking exactly like this. Of course, when I saw that bottom flat I worried I might be introducing TARR by putting the plugs in my yard. But, so far so good as of 09/01/23.

We planted our grass plugs earlier this summer. They are really starting to spread!! So healthy and green.

These small plugs are misleading from the advertisement -- product does not spread out as advertised --better to buy 25 pieces of sod which would be approximately 16" x 28' 75-80 SF of coverage versus these small plugsVery expensive too

I received the St. Augustine grass pod in very good condition and on time. A few of the pods had yellow leave; however, I removed pods from plastic shipping tray and placed same on a dirt filled planter. Watered and this morning the yellow leaves are gone and pods seems to be greenery this morning. Again, very pleased with this order. The same applies for the a like order I received several day ago; I will order from this seller again.

Roots a bit overgrown but they held good and have started to grow on my not so good soil. I live on the beach so used them to cover holes on the previous grass mixing top soil in the ground and around the plug.
