Buying my second one for nephews new puppy. I had found that the one I purchased for wire cutting was amazing for cutting dogs nails! Worked better than anything I have ever used! Used on my big dog and now my little Chihuahua. It’s true, it does cut the nail (and so precisely) as if it’s made of butter, (with no crushing the nail as so many dog nail trimmers do), and there’s so little fuss from the dog because it’s fast, painless (of course be careful that you don’t cut into the quick and the best way for that of course is cutting just a little bit and trimming more often.). And no struggles! Rather than telling my nephew how great it works I decided to just give him one!

Nice. sharp & strong. These allow me to get very close to my crimp bead and make a clean snip of the beading wire without leaving poky bits in situations where I can't thread the string through other beads. Makes a nice flush cut on wire really easily as well. So far I'm very happy with them.

For professionals, they make an excellent loaner or backup pair—something you won’t worry about losing or abusing. A few things I appreciate: They’re spring‑loaded, which makes repetitive cutting easier. IGAN advertises a lifetime warranty—I haven’t tested it, so I can’t speak to how smooth the process is. The finish is decent, and mine hasn’t rusted in the toolbox. I did wipe it down with WD‑40 when I first got it, as I do with many of my tools. I used these as my primary flush cutters for a while before upgrading to Icons and Tsunodas, and I had zero issues with the IGANs. They just work. If you need an inexpensive, reliable flush cutter for everyday tasks, these are a great value.

Really great flush cutter. I used them on a stereo install to trim zip ties, cut them all very smooth and flush. Great value for the cost! Really solid build!

Precision made

I have been using regular diagonal cutters for circuit boards. The sharp 1/16 inch points it creates makes cleaning the bottom of the board very difficult. Using the tip of the cutters creates a smooth flat surface that makes cleaning easy. I wish I knew about this tool sooner. Used this cutter on two huge 12X14 inch boards. The edge has not lost any sharpness. Though I would not expect it to get dull cutting mostly tin and copper. The only down side is it will be difficult to reuse parts.

Sturdy! Very happy with this purchase. Will buy again. Only tiny complaint...the covering on the handles tries to come off frequently. I'm going to try to glue them. Cuts very strong cable without causing nicks in the blades. Fits my hand for comfortable use. Still has middle spring after three years.

The pictures don't do these cutters justice as they don't show the thickness and angles of the cutting surfaces. I bought these to cut surface mount electrolytic capacitors from circuit boards so I could replace them. When I received these cutters I was pleasantly surprised to find that the upper side of the jaws was lowered and the cutting angle was therefore more acute. The thinner the jaw angle, the less stress is applied to cut the can off the capacitor and the less stress on the board pads. The downside is that the cutting edge is more fragile, but these appear to still be more than capable of doing the job. These cutters are NOT intended to maul your way through heavy wire of any type. Stay under 16Ga SOLID COPPER and you should be alright. DO NOT cut steel wire, springs, or hardened wire of any type as you will probably notch, or break, the jaws. These cutters are intended for electronic work. If you wreck these it's on you for abusing them. Use your Klein's for the heavy stuff.
