LEDGLE Ceramic Heat Bulb, Ceramic Heat Emitter E27 for Tortoise/Reptiles/Chicken/Lizards (Ceramic Heat Bulb)

I was really anxious about using one of these because I've heard many horror stories, but i couldn't be happier with it. There are a few things you need to bear in mind if you are going to use one. 1. Use a thermostat - plug your lamp into it, put the temperature probe into the enclosure and set temperature. It will turn the lamp on and off at the temperature you set it to and keep it in a reasonable temp range. No frozen spider, No cooked spider. 2. Use a ceramic lamp holder that's good for your wattage of lamp. so it doesn't melt your fitting. No burny burny 3. Keep it a sensible distance away from your enclosure and other surfaces, no burn burn 4. Bear in mind that the lamp itself gets hot as hell and if you touch it it's going to suck. don't let the kids touch it or the cat jump into it, if it's on the inside of the enclosure make sure your little friend can't touch it 5. This is the 50w version, i can't speak for the other lamps 6. It crackles and smells a little for about 5 minutes the first use, that's fine 7. Use a separate independent thermometer to make sure the stat is working properly; i can see mine is keeping the enclosure a toasty 20-22 degrees I bought this because my room is very cold, too cold for the tarantula, but they don't like bright light (they can't see red light, which i am using) so a classic heat lamp i wasn't keen on. Tarantulas don't typically need extra heat if your house is warm. Take my info as non expert advice, just sharing my experience with the product for anyone else who is thinking of using one

1st purchase only lasted a month.. 2nd purchase 2 months. Surely should last longer. These bulbs don't last 😞

Second one in 2 weeks first one not working at all and second one glowing red when heating then stopped working

I purchased this as a spare a few months back. It has been sat in a cupboard for emergencies, I have loads of tanks and reptiles so you can never have to many. I am setting up a new enclosure for my hognose and plugged it in. It did heat up and started to smell. This is normal though. However when I went back to check on the temp it had already blown. So it lasted 10 minutes if that. I won't be waisting my money on another from this company. Spend 4£ more and get a branded one. Useless and a waist of money.

Great product, love that I don’t have a very bright light shining on my tortoise and it doesn’t wake her up. She is very warm and sleeps under it a lot. It is lasting a long time.

I've been using this on a programmed dimming thermostat for well over a month now with no issues at all. Heats up a long 4ft vivarium with ease, and I've not noticed a hike in my electricity bill either. Bought this over many of the large, well known brands, as it's a simple ceramic bulb. No regrets!

This works very well, ive had no issues at all! Remember, used for the first time, it does make a few noises, this is normal as it expands with heat for the first time. I've had no issues with it. Powerful and perfect fitting.

Très pratique pour l'élevage de poussin. Pas de lumière rouge, donc pas de lumière la nuit, donc les poussins dorment parfaitement bien dans un calme absolu. Un tapis chauffant est un plus.

Bien reçu, et vraiment très bien emballé, l'ampoule était très bien protégé,Merci beaucoup au vendeur. Mais une fois celle-ci installée, pour mes poussins, la lampe ne chauffe pas, j'ai attendu, et rien... J'ai donc essayé avec d'autres ampoules, pour voir si tout fonctionnait bien, ( ampoules à usage de lumière, et elles fonctionnement très bien.) Donc malheureusement, pour mes poussins,et pour moi, celle-ne fonctionne pas du tout, pas de chaleur, ni d'ampoule qui chauffe.... La nouvelle ampoule est très bien reçu, et vraiment très bien emballé, l'ampoule était très bien protégé. Merci beaucoup au vendeur, pour sa réactivité, et qui a été d'une extrême gentillesse, et compréhension. Le problème de lampe es résolu. Celle-ci installée, pour mes poussins (6 nouveaux nées) , J'ai senti la différence !!! Elle chauffe très bien, ne pas mettre les mains. Je ne regrette pas mon achat, le prix es raisonnable. Et je commanderai régulièrement à ce vendeur. Je voudrais remercier, infiniment le vendeur pour sa réactivité, car je n'avais rien d'autre pour chauffer mes poussins, et de plus c'était la 1ere fois,(élevage poussin) . L'ampoule est arrivé très vite. Le temps de recevoir la nouvelle ampoule, j'avais mis des petites bouillottes. La ils sont bien au chaud, regroupé sous la lampe, super. Merci beaucoup 😉
