Easy to use
This is super easy to use. I'm a novice plant owner and either neglect my plants to the point of shrivel or hover and kill via root rot. This help me understand what the soil moisture level is deeper where the roots live. I can not speak entirely to the accuracy because this is my only meter so I don't have anything to compare the meters to, but they are easy to read and it does seem to help me keep my plants alive so good enough for this novice. My only qualm is that is can be hard to manuver the prongs into the soil if the roots are thick in that area, so something's I have to poke around to find a spot that the prongs will easily slide into.

Well-crafted, accurate, and Worth the money!
This product is well worth the money!! My friend and I are both plant mamas and I had been recently gifted a “triostar stromanthe “ plant. The leaves were browning and I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Ever since purchasing this moisture meter, the plant has been doing much better and so have my other plants. I am thankful for such an accurate reading and that this product is a three-in-one product! I am overall incredibly pleased and will be recommending this product to other plant lovers!

Inaccurate
TLDR; I'm dumb for purchasing this and not realizing it was junk earlier but you can be smart and not buy it.I've had this for almost a year now thinking it was strange that the dial would hardly move from dry (just needed it to make sure I wasn't over-watering a ming aralia) but that's what I wanted to see. Recently I got another plant that I needed to check the moisture in so I cleaned the tip and prongs to put into the new pot and the dial didn't move much but when testing with my finger, the soil was moist. Then I checked the light function and you'd assume in direct sun it would register that there is a lot of light.. it didn't. Don't even need to check the pH function, it's junk and doesn't work. Don't buy!

Works for moisture and light
This is ok for the money, but if the primary reason you’re getting it is to use as a pH meter, look elsewhere. I’ve stuck the prongs in a lot of different soil, and it reads 7.0 no matter what. Even if the reading is accurate, which I doubt, it’s not really helpful because the range is so small on the meter that the needle width itself covers enough of the gauge to make it silly. In other words, the right side of the needle might be at 6.8 and the left side at 7.2. In any event, it doesn’t move on my gauge no matter what. However, it’s helpful as a general guide for root zone moisture and for RELATIVE light values. What I mean by light values is this - if you are growing under a light indoors, it’s not always possible to see a darker zone. It all looks lit up under a light. But this meter will effectively show you that (for example) 3 inches to the right is half as bright. Anyway, the meter goes up to “2,000” and I don’t know if that’s lux or lumens or whatever, but I found it helpful. So overall, I’m using it and it is helpful for me for moisture and light. But the reason I bought it was so I wouldn’t have to spend a lot more on a soil pH meter. I still need to buy a pH meter, but for $15, it’s worth it to me.

Best buy for the accuracy
The important thing here, is calibration. LEARN HOW TO CALIBRATE. Most important component. Very accurate when properly calibrated. Wash EVERY TIME with distilled water (the submerging test probes) and wash, dry and keep the cap on. All up to you.

Well worth a shot!
Having paid twice to submit soil samples at a fair rate, I was reluctant to buy anything that was inexpensive, but I needed something to search for PH in my large container and raised garden beds. So I got it on this one and tried it out in my already sampled soils from the same place that I sent in the previous two samples. Although it's hard to read it exactly like the ones on the scale, I think it's pretty sweet. My two previous tests came in at 6.4 and 6.6, and from what I can tell from this little device, it's right there in that range. I bought this for the PH feature, and I don't really care about the light and moisture functions. I 'd say, give it a shot, you can always give it back. I'm quite pleased.

Water/ph tester
Love these! This is my third because the tips break off if forced into harder soils. Sometimes double prongs are tough to use in more root bound or rocky areas where a single prong would work better if just testing humidity. Some of my plants like to get dry before watering & others prefer to stay moist so testing is very helpful. I am also trying to grow plants that like very acidic soil so I have to monitor & amend as necessary.

Works well
Works for soil moisture, which is the reason I bought it. Includes instructions that are easy to understand, and a chart with the moisture recommendations for many common houseplants. Light meter seems accurate too, but haven't tested the soil ph, so can't comment on the accuracy of that meter.

Accurate. Reads water amount, existing light available & the acidity ( or base) of the soil.
It works well, just the readability is a bit difficult to see unless U almost crawl into, on top off or closely right beside the plant container. I’m so far as accuracy, I like this unit as it accurately detects the amount of water in the soil, the amount of daylight the plant is getting AND if the soil is too acidic, base, or just right to grow the type of plant suited for the soil.

pH metre doesn't work
The moisture and light metres seem to work fine, but I bought this primarily to check soil pH. That function isn't working at all - the metre reading doesn't change no matter where or how long it is placed, and reads the same when not in soil at all. Very disappointed.

Useful, works well
Very good product, exactly as described, easy to use, useful for house plants especially in pots with no holes at the bottom.
