I'm a serious, regular, road cyclist. I mainly ride when the sun's out. I needed a tail light that was bright enough to be seen at daylight, and to last a little longer than the 4-5 hrs. I was previously getting out of my cheaper, lighter-but-slightly brighter tail lights. I needed it to fit over the flexible cloth band of my small under saddle bike bag. It does. The built-in rubber strap/hook is fine. I can't relate to the other complaints I've read about the strap and hook. The only remarkable difference between my old, cheaper tail lights (besides the battery life which is OUTSTANDING), was the weight. The older lights, which needed recharging every 2 days (in my case) weighed about 58 grams. These 50 hr. tail lights weigh almost 4x that. But you know what? I don't even notice, or mind, the extra weight. I'm out there riding for training, fitness, and pleasure, and the added run time on the batteries is a beautiful trade-off. I may never find out their true battery life -- I recharged them after 2 weeks (12 rides) just as a precaution. It took 1 hr. to fully charge them at that point. To go from every 2 days, to every 2 weeks (or 3! or maybe 4!) is well worth it. I use the lightest, most random light pattern it offers, and I've had great response with motorists giving me lots of room and courtesy on the road. Maybe even a little better than with my old, lighter-but-slightly brighter tail lights.

I bought these for my son, he needs then because he rides his scooter at night. These are nice and bright, and they have different setting so to catch the attention of the motorists driving by. They seem to have good battery life.

I highly recommend these lights as the best value for a budget. There are brighter lights on the market, but they are substantially more expensive and these lights are bright enough and getting 2 lights for $12.99 (currently) is a great deal. I have had these lights for 2 months and there have been ZERO problems with charging or flashing or with the rubber attachment straps, etc. Everything works great. Someone said the little rubber flap that covers the charging port looks flimsy. It DOES look flimsy BUT so far (2 months) they have held up fine and if one day the flap does break off then you can either use your 2nd light or simply attach the light vertically (up/down) with the charging port facing down to keep the rain water out. For less than $7 per light you get a rechargeable light that is advertised as waterproof although I haven't personally tested the waterproof myself. The one improvement they could make is to modify the rubber attachment strap so the light can attach to a "skinner" rod. They attach just fine "as-is" to the bike seat post, but on my other bike the best position is the rod at the back of the cargo rack and that rod is a lot thinner, but I just wrapped some tape around the rod to make it thicker and the light attaches fine with the stock rubber strap holes

Bright enough for night rides. Multifunction - solid, cylon, etc., - one function is close enough to blinking. As tail-lights go - it does a good job. The only downside is the fastener. It has a single rubber strap with a single hook that is nearly impossible to attach firmly. Basically, its made to fall off on any rough ride. Which it did - one the first ride. Guess that's why you get two. That would make it 3-stars for me. BUT - after removing the rubber strap, I was able to use a heated Xacto blade to cut out two small notches in the plastic housing, then thread two full size zip-ties thru my notches on one side & the strap's slot on the other side. With two Zip-ties, it's securely attached to my saddle riser and a 4-star tail light. SO... distributors... tell the designers to mold in those notches I had to cut.

There are two tail lights in the set. The lights are easy to install on your seat post with the included band. I like how the tail lights don't flash at the same time so that you get a back-and-forth effect that creates a better flashing to make you noticeable on the road. I didn't calculate the exact run time, but 1 ride 2.5 to 3 hours at a time and these lasted for a long time before needing to recharge. I think the claimed 50 hour run time is accurate. These don't run together, so you can use 1 light each on different bikes.

Good battery life, good visibility, well worth the money

Tail light for my bike is a good size with nice bright lights. If I can get 50 hours before having to recharge the light like the product claims, I'll be very happy.
