Westcott 13525 5-Inch Pointed Titanium-Bonded Crafting Scissors with Soft Handles, Gray/Yellow

Best scissors I've ever owned. Incredibly sharp, sharper than I've even gotten from a professional blade smith. The ends are pointed at an angle so that making a 2mm cut is no problem at all. Perfect for detailed cutting and works on all types of materials: fabric, tape, paper, yarn, string, leather, etc. Most people have a few pairs of scissors for different uses and this is the perfect one for precise and detailed cuts. The titanium makes them very durable and rust proof. I've just ordered my 2nd pair after 12 years. I still use the old pair as well, nice to have 2 so I don't have to go searching for them.

Initially, I was very disappointed when these wouldn't easily cut open a large, thin cardboard envelope. I mentioned in a review that this wasn't a design flaw, but I still didn't think much of them, and didn't give them a great score as a result. Well, I was totally wrong about these scissors. For anything thin, these things cut better than a hot knife through butter. They work fine on anything made of paper, on the thin 'metallized' covering around sterile medical supplies, on thin plastic bags, for cloth (the purpose for which they are designed), and for the most part, just about anything else (that is thin) I've thrown at them. I knew they weren't designed for something like cardboard, but foolishly allowed that negative first impression to skew my initial review entirely. These scissors are very well engineered, and now that I've been using them for awhile, can say with confidence they work extraordinarily well, as long as I don't use them on something I know they weren't built to tackle. This/these is/are a great tool. I love it/them! :-)

Had a pair of these scissors that were smaller and sharper that I loved for YEARS. Finally this year they had officially broke and I couldn’t use them anymore. I was hesitant because I’ve never had actually purchased the scissors myself and thought because they were old and sharp, that they weren’t made anymore. Sure enough they weren’t the same scissors but they were small enough to cut my cuticles properly and thank god! Definitely helped my OCD!

These scissors are a great value for the price.

These are by far the best scissors I have ever owned. This is my second pair. My first pair is still going strong I just wanted another pair for my crafts. I do a lot of hand sewing and these scissors are so precise and sharp. I can do so much detail work with them. I make tulle Pom poms with a clover maker and these fit perfectly in the seam to cut the Pom poms. I just cannot say enough good things about them. I saw some reviews about them being left handed...well I am right handed and I have never had a problem in the six plus years that I have owned my first pair. I hide them so no one can use them on things that will ruin them lol. I just could not live without mine. I promise you will love them.

My husband bought these scissors for me because he lost my other full-size ones and I gave him guff about it. Why guff over scissors? Because once you cut something with titanium scissors, every other pair of scissors just feels like trying to cut a steak with a plastic spork or those crappy ineffectual rounded pretend kid scissors they give you in kindergarten when they know there's a 99.9% chance you'll run with them and they don't want to get sued when you lacerate your own eyeballs and... wait, why would you try to cut a steak with a pair of crappy kindergarten scissors? That's just weird. Anyway back to what I was saying, when he presented these to me, my husband referred to them as a "romantic love present". Because that is who he is. Does that mean I live in a Nine Inch Nails music video now? I'm not really sure. The world is a dangerous place. Either that or I'm hallucinating again. Dammit Trent Reznor, WHY?! Still here? Really? Then I guess these scissors work great for scissors. You can cut stuff like duct tape and they don't get that sticky crap on them that never comes off and then the scissors don't work and then you spend five times as long cutting the next thing, precious sands in the hourglass of time you will never. ever. get. back. BUT just know up front as you saunter into the kind of deep and abiding commitment that is purchasing a pair of scissors that these are half the size of a regular pair of scissors which, if you are in any way emotionally fragile, could potentially give you a psychological complex that you have unsightly GIGANTIC MAN HANDS by comparison every time you need to cut something, so if you can't handle that kind of self-esteem scarring emotional trauma (or if you really do just have gigantic man hands but you don't want to admit it to yourself) just buy the full-size titanium scissors instead and be done with it already.

i cut paper alllll the time. i just cut paper for fun, so i know a thing or two about scissors loool. these are SO SMOOTH! i cut sticky stuff, hard paper, card board, and normal paper. they work super well. i’ve learned that this brand just makes top tier scissors. def good for scrapbooking or arts and crafts since they’re sharp and can easily navigate around anything you need to cut

As a crafter this is the kind of scissors i would recommend for those that want to cut images or patterns in paper. It is small, small and light. You wont regret it.

These scissors are great. They are compact, relatively comfortable, and sharp. They do the job of cutting masking tap for painting and other light utility work well. For the price I high recommend them.

These are ideal for what I needed but they were a bit smaller than I expected.

These scissors are well made and good value for money.
