Well made. Large interior
Love the price of the product. 19.99 comparative to big box stores of 70 plus depending on location. Ace in the hole to the low one. Plenty of knockouts available 3/8 up to 1.25” which is overkill but at least it’s an option Similar build quality to a panel made by us manufactures. Haven’t checked to be certain it doesn’t carry current directly through without scratching paint but overall very pleased with the quality for the price point. And three days to get to my door while i live in middle of nowhere. So happy Thank you

Quality at a much more reasonable price.
This item looks like the Reliance PB30. The difference is the rubber cover, which to me is easier to use and almost as sturdy. The best thing is that the S7 30-Amp NEMA 3R Power Inlet Box is much more affordable at about two thirds of the price. The quality is fine and the construction is very sturdy. I am glad the S7 is giving serious competition to the Reliance, which is a bit overpriced. When the S7 became available, I wasted no time in purchasing. I would recommend the S7 to anyone looking to set up a power outlet for the generator.

Nice generator connection box at a good price
The receptacle box was easy to install. The only issue I had was with the green ground wire attaching the ground position on the connector to the metal box. I had to move the ground wire out of the way a couple of times while installing. The crimp connector attaching the ground wire to the box broke. It was easy enough to strip the insulation off the green ground wire and mount it directly to the box, but it should not have broke that easily. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase. My connector box has not been exposed to rain yet, so I am not sure how waterproof it is. I have sealed around the outside of the box where it mounts to the house with caulking to prevent any water from entering at the mounting screws or wire inlet. It looks like the rest of the box should be waterproof. UPDATE: After a few months, the rubber grommet that covers the receptacle (when not in use) will not stay tight and works it's way off with temperature fluctuations. This causes the metal prongs to be exposed to rain. So far the metal has not corroded or rusted, but eventually will if I don't keep putting the cover back on.

Quality looks good, But Hipp not had time to use it.
Un-Like other users, I did not have any problem, removing the knockout to bring the six gauge THHN leads into the receptacle. Seems to be good quality, but have not had a chance to actually energize it.Like other users, I did not have any problem, removing the knockout to bring the six gauge THHN leads into the receptacle. Works as advertised, low cost
Likes: Very good price Functions as it should Dislikes: I mounted this outdoors, the way the cover fits on it needs to overlap the top back edge. To be able to remove and replace the cover requires a a small gap between the wall it is mounted to and the back of this box. I made a thin spacer to hold this box just off the wall. Then to maintain weather tight integrity I used a "deflector (flashing) above the box, and used "conduit" to run the wires thru the wall and caulked all around the conduit prior to mounting this box to keep water out of the hole I drilled in the wall

Transfer switch
Would have gave 4 stars but the rubber cover doesn't stay sealed, it keeps popping off on its own.

Not as described
Although this product seems to be sturdily constructed, the instructions say to "remove the housing by loosening the two screws on the face of the device, and slide it over the cable". The first problem is that there one screw, not two. The face of the device has no provision to slide over the cable, as the box is completely sealed. Although the box has circular imprints, indicating that you could punch out a coin to slide the cord in, the imprints do not punch out as they do on all other electrical boxes I have purchased (which is in the hundreds). This box requires you to drill out a hole with at least a 3/4 inch bit. This is not indicated anywhere in its description, requires an additional expensive purchase, and the instructions indicate that this is not necessary as all you have to do is slide the cord into the box. There are other options for boxes of a similar type that you can ingress easily.

Cheaply made
Cheap, screws stripped. Not a good product. No CSA or UL compliance.
