The Methods of Zhineng Qigong Science

You either have to be familiar with the practice itself (Qigong) or know Chinese.
In order to use this "text book" you either have to be familiar with the practice itself (Qigong) or know Chinese. I am neither.Quotes from the book:1. "...close the eyes gently, draw the vision back. Say the Eight Phrases: Ding tian li di, xing song yi chong, wai jing nei jing, xin cheng mao gong, yi nian bu qi, shen zhu ..... bla bla bla"What is the point of mumbling something if you do not understand what you are saying (and most likely saying incorrectly)? AND instead of concentrating on Qi, you have to focus on memorizing this abracadabra.2. "At the 'shen ru qi zhong' level, there is still a distinction between shen and qi; they are still two. At 'shen qi he yi' level, shen and qi cannot be distinguished. For this, bodily qi must be continually refine until it changes into yiyuanti qi."I understand that it must of been challenging to translate from Chinese into a different language, and you wanted to stay as close to the original text as possible. But having SO MANY "original" words (that most of us do not understand) made this book (at least for beginners) very difficult to use.I spent more time on YouTube watching other people's videos on how to do the movements and Googling Chinese terms than reading the book.

A excellent translation of a masterpiece.
It took me almost a year to find a copy of this out-of-print book. I wish it is available electronically so that anyone who wants to study the material can get hold of it in some from. I am still reading it, mostly using the book as reference for my practice. I may provide more detail info another time.

I have given this book five stars because the information ...
I have given this book five stars because the information it contains is detailed and wide ranging, but reading it requires enthusiastic and staunch commitment to the subject matter. It is a translation of a training text for students studying Qigong, so it can be quite heavy in places.
