Working well

The box functions flawlessly once installed. Setup was a bit tricky, but the SharkBite fittings made it manageable and ultimately saved me a significant amount of money. Reliable and cost-effective solution for the job.

Good product. No instructions on how to remove the valves to use the side drain. It took me some time to figure it out. I’m Leaving some pictures just in case someone has the same problem.

I have experience installing these for friends, relatives, and rentals. Easy to install, high-quality brass fittings, the open and close shut off valves are smooth and completely seal, the included washers are not cheap versions, so the seals are tight and will not rot away. The price point is up to half the brand names and, in my opinion, equal to their quality. A very nice feature is that the drain pipe pushes into the unit with a slight twist with a tight seal. I tested, even though the drain hose is inserted 6 inches down the drain, the chances of an issue are almost impossible without a very serious blockage. Why is this a nice feature? Most units require the drain pipe to be glued into the outlet box to prevent any leaks when disconnecting, which can be challenging. As mentioned above, I have had no such issues with this outlet.

The fittings do not release with the tool. Unable to take the Pex tube out of the fitting. Had to buy new fittings that appear to be of far better quality to allow a reseat of the pipe. Would buy again for the hammer and convienience of mounting my taps within the wall cavity earning myself space. But over shadowed by the poor fitting quality. Might be the pex pipe in australia is a bees dick thicker, but still would expect a release as the release tool was provided.

Shallow box fits perfectly in 2x4 wall!!! Great delivery person brought the package to exactly where I needed it!!!

No leaks, but banging (hammering) of the water pipe that doesn't work for me.

The taps have a slight tilt to them, but hook up easily and work well just the same…
