Was super excited
Out of the box, set up was easy enough. It is sturdy and high quality construction. But there was an issue with double images. It's looking like it will need collimation. Worse still, I've contacted the company and have not heard back from them in over a month. So right now I have a nice looking but expensive paper weight sitting on the desk, unless I close one eye, which defeats the purpose of getting a binocular microscope.

Not impressed at all
Two weeks in and the light will not come on. Changed fuse still nothing.....Not impressed at all If the LED has blown, then that's sad because one would expect a microscope hailed as research grade to last a bit longer than a fortnight. Edited : On the 3rd of march 2025. Still waiting from a response from Swift UK? They seem to not want to contact their customer base. This is a very bad way to conduct a business. I now have to consider going with a different microscope manufacturer. Swift have had a good chunk of my bank balance, but not any more. Folks forget swift and go elsewhere. EDIT 2: Purchased a new LED still nothing, so the transformer has gone. What a hunk of junk.

Great Microscope
Science is a hobby for me, and this microscope is just the thing for looking at all things natural. I usually wear glasses, but the eyepiece adjustment is enough that I don't need them to see the subject. At lower magnifications the subject is extremely sharp, but the higher the mag, the less sharp it gets, but still able to recognise cells/parasites etc. The adjustment RL/Up Down are very smooth, however the main focus was a bit jerky to start with, and needed a few turns to loosen it up a bit. Now it's perfect, and the micro adjustment is too. It has an inbuilt light with a power lead. Ideal bit of kit for me.
