The Bundy Murders: A Comprehensive History, Second Edition

As a FSU alumni, I've had an interest in Bundy ever since he struck the co-ed's in Chi Omega in the early morning hours of 1-15-78. In fact, I was in my dorm room in Broward Hall on this date which is right across the street from Chi Omega.Mr. Sullivan does an excellent job describing Bundy's life. It's clear the names, dates, and other facts are presented in an easy to read chronological order. It's like reading a biography of Bundy and Mr. Sullivan's research shines through time and time again. Thankfully, he leaves out the gory details of the murders because they're not necessary for the reader to follow the story. There are a few things I would have done a little differently if I was writing the book but I may be nit-picking here. The chapter on Bundy's boyhood (chapter 2) runs a little long. I lost interest halfway through the chapter and skipped to chapter 3. There's just TMI regarding his childhood which has nothing to do with his adult life. Some of the transcripts from Bundy's interviews don't tell the reader anything. Bundy has trouble putting complete sentences together in these interviews and when pressed about a specific crime, Bundy cops out and says, "I can't talk about it" over and over. Bundy rambles on usually not giving the interviewer any useful information and they could have been left out of the book. Finally, a page or two dedicated to the dates and names of the women he killed would have been helpful. Mr. Sullivan did this in his third book, "The Bundy Secrets" but not in this book. Why is this important? Because Bundy's wild odyssey takes us from Seattle, WA to a courtroom in Miami, FL and many places in between. This covers a lot of geography and it's helpful to have the names and dates on one page to make it easier to follow his path. Bundy was always on the move. His method was to kill her in location "A", dump the body in location "B", dump her personal belongings in location "C", and get out of town.This is a 5 star book and I recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Bundy. Also, Mr. Sullivan appears in some of the documentaries about Bundy on cable TV and his knowledge about Bundy is evident in these shows as well as this book.

Amazing! This book has SO MUCH information and it was done amazingly. Most books like this regardless if it's about a serial killer or not is generally dry but this was juicy! The writing a is great and keeps you entertained and sucks you in. I was sucked in from the introduction. There were a few times that I was a little bored just because there was some information that was just not interesting and a couple things I felt was not mentioned. For example when Ted and Liz broke up, I felt like that exchange between the two should of been mention but it came out of no where " oh by the way Liz ended the relationship." But for the most part, if you want to know anything about Ted Bundy, you need to read this. And although this book is not a really long book it can be because like I said there is ALOT of information and the writing is small. Amazing Amazing and I can't wait to read more from this author.

VERY well written book by a man, who, in my humble opinion, has become the Go-To authority on Ted Bundy. In this book he looks at what matters the MOST-the VICTIMS, and what happened to them after people noticed they were missing. This books delves into tracking Bundy's every move, and how the victims fell across his path, and others that missed some VERY close calls. This author, Kevin Sullivan, really did his homework with his subject-once you start reading ANY book he has authored, you will be PHYSICALLY UNABLE to put down his books. Well written, and spot-on as to EXACTLY how Bundy's mind worked.

Kevin has written several books about Ted Bundy and each one unfolds more and more insight and knowledge with every page. In this book, I found the writing to flow beautifully while giving an up close and in the moment feel to Ted Bundy’s murders. This book gripped me and gave new key insights to the lifestyle Bundy lead. I highly recommend all of Kevin’s books. There is a wealth of knowledge and perspective in each one. I find myself referencing them often! Enjoy!

This book was very informative, clearly the author did very thorough research. The timeline he presents is an interesting take on the well known Bundy murders. About halfway through the book I noticed that the author had a habit of alluding to future parts of the book often. I understand there has to be an aspect of story telling to this book, I found it to be a bit long winded and repetitive. His efforts to excite about upcoming events in the narrative only seemed to jumble the timeline that the author was so adamant about

It is a well written report of the story of Ted Bundy. The writer covers how terrible and depraved his crimes were without dwelling on the sick details too much. The investigations and events that led to his apprehension were well done.

The Author is a real expert and offers insight that I have never heard. Highly recommend.

Just a great writer, great information.

No matter how much Bundy has been discussed theres always something more to know, something missed from other books, interviews etc. This book too makes for a fascinating read even if you have followed the life and murders of the killer and gets you thinking. Worth a read.

Arrived on time, condition was excellent. Excited to read this one.
