It's just a typo. I order from this company all the time and trust me its merckens & its delicious.

Can this be used in a fountain?

I wouldn't suggest it as a first choice. This is a great product for making candies/chocolates without having to temper it, but for a fountain it may be a bit temperamental. There is a warning label on the bag warning you NOT to overheat this when melting. So unless you fountain has actual temperature settings I wouldn't recommend using these for it. The chocolate in a chocolate fountain has a melt setting (I don't know how hot that gets) then it keeps chocolate warm to flow through the augers -and it's a safe assumption that you will have the fountain going for at least a few hours at a party - so there is the potential to overheat the chocolate. I have a chocolate fountain and have used regular melted chocolate chips thinned out with oil as directed and used chocolate fountain wafers (more expensive) both work well -but the chocolate chips with oil tastes great and is less expensive. I've also made a ganache with chocolate and cream in the fountain and that was delicious as well. Do not under fill the fountain for good results. Good luck!
