Have used a sun alarm for years. There are three downsides to this one. First, the controls are on the bottom of the device. You have to pick it up to punch the button to turn on the alarm. My old sun alarm had controls on the face; it was never necessary to pick it up. Second, there is a slight glow to the device all the time. I prefer sleeping in a very dark room. That little bit of glow drives me nuts. Third, tapping the top of the alarm activates a separate lighting feature. You can select different colors. It took a while for me to remember to never, ever touch the top. Having a bright light suddenly turn on in the middle of the night is disconcerting. Wish there was a physical switch to shut that feature off. The shape of this alarm just begs you to grab it by the top. Other than those 3 criticisms, I do like this alarm. It is compact and easy to use. The audible alarm, vs just the sunshine part, is an option that you can turn on or off at will. I really like that feature. The cost is affordable. I've had this sun alarm for only a couple of months. Hopefully, it will last years, like my old one did.

I ordered this product in hopes of waking up more pleasantly and less abruptly from a loud beeping alarm. It actually works. I have no idea how far in advance of my set alarm time the light starts up, but it slowly increases in brightness maxing out just before the audible part of the alarm starts. Most days, I now wake up many minutes before my set alarm time due to the "rising sun" on my nightstand. The audio alarm choices are decent with some nature sounds versus beeps and buzzes.Improvements would be a way to dim the time display (on the bright side at night) and a real snooze button. Once the audible alarm sounds, it will play for 5 minutes and then automatically go into snooze mode (no sound) for another 5 minutes. If you tap the top of the alarm at any point, you will turn it off - so don't fall back asleep. Perhaps the lack of snooze button is good motivation to get up given your choices are to hear the alarm for 5 minutes or turn it of altogether. Regardless, it is a nice little clock with the features I need and a slick modern design.

The media could not be loaded.  Cute little sunrise alarm clock. Build is light and entirely plastic but it looks nice. The plug is USB so you’ll need some sort of usb converter to plug in.It has a lamp function (3 white brightnesses and multicolors) and a sunrise function (5 gradual brightness stages). There are 6 alarm options + a silent alarm option as well. The alarm was easy to set up and had good directions in english! The glowing time text is pretty light, but I actually like that because it won’t wake me up at night.I like the aesthetic and smaller size of the lamp, but personally I don’t think is is worth $38 since its made entirely of plastic. I’ll have to wait and see how it holds up over time.

This is a great purchase.I use the #7 alarm setting, which is just the light and no noise.The light comes on 30 minutes before the time set and stays on 15 minutes after.Another great feature is that the numbers on the clock are a white light. I much prefer this over the green or red of many alarm clocks.

Good price and simple to set up. Kind of wish I could choose more music options but I do enjoy the different light modes depending on my mood.

I would have liked this product but three things that are annoying and if I were you wouldn’t purchase:-Sounds are so loud near my ear when I wake up and you can’t turn down the volume!-The clock light is so low you can’t see the time when you have all the lights on and you can not adjust it.-There is no snooze button. Because the bird chirping is so loud I end up turning it off rather than be able to snooze.I’m going to look into another product. This one is not ideal. No battery back up either.

Not quite what I was looking for. There's no way to adjust the brightness of the awake portion of the light. It's very bright white. Wish I could dim it or make it more of a yellow color. Unfortunate..
