Worth the wait!
We have been waiting for this to launch since last year when it was first announced. However delivery from Amazon is nearly an 8 week wait from launch but we managed to purchase this same day from Argos. We already have the Echo show 8 & 5 and the main reason we wanted to purchase this was the added benefit of motion detection and being able to check in on the house via the camera when we are not home. Overall it’s a great unit, the sound is incredible and the motor that enables movement is completely silent. Motion detection is incredibly accurate as it uses its camera & microphone to sense where you are standing but it will only work 100% in good light conditions and if there is more than 1 person walking about it can get ‘confused’ with which person to follow. Depending on where you wish to place the unit, you can set the movement parameters so it will not hit anything when motion detection is in use. You can also set a default position for which direction the unit will face when not in use. However it is slightly disappointing that the screen tilt can only be changed by hand as we wanted this to be able to monitor our dogs - on a hip-height table it’s is unable to view the surrounding floor inside a 10 foot perimeter. For anyone with Ring devices, this works seamlessly with the doorbell, floodlight, indoor camera & home security alarm kit. Also works well with controlling Hue lighting, Hive thermostat & Dyson Pure hot + cool fan.

Simply superb.
I bought echo show 10 from john lewis (same price) as Amazon had a month's wait on delivery. Straight out of the box it had a quality feel, heavy and well balanced (charcoal model). No problems linking it to my account and all my devices are working as before. Setup is easy whether pre setup by Amazon, or you need to do it yourself. Sound quality is excellent, lots of bass if you like the 'thud thud thud', but with the equaliser settings, you can have crisp clear notes. Screen resolution same as echo show 8, no loss of quality though, just a bigger picture, perfect. Screen motion sensor, very accurate and speedy with 'whisper quiet motor' ( I actually can't hear it). Works great in good lighting but struggles when lighting is low (It does tell you though). All in all, very responsive, very easy to use and is a great asset to have, one hang up, no headphone socket.... some might say this is because it has motion activation and is probably best suited to a kitchen where you won't need headphones. I use mine as a bedside kit, so would have been handy to have one (you could put it the same place as the power plug, like echo show 8) ... Maybe that's an upgrade one year. Well worth the money if you're into your tech and well worth it if you need it as an assistant (as I do). Amazon has brought out the best at last :)

Great device and worth getting
Brilliant device, crisp clear screen and brilliant sound. Some of the apps are a bit clunky and temperamental but generally they come back quite quickly. The setup was easy and the touch screen is a bonus, I have also uploaded photos so its nice to see memories of the family pop up. All in all its a great device and worth getting if you are looking for one.

Echo Show 10 3rd Gen Totally fantastic and a bit rubbish
Wow an Amazon Echo that moves, should be fantastic right. Well in many respects it is, but they really have let this horse out of the stable before it can run. There are some great features: Much improved screen resolution compared to the Show 10 2nd Gen. Comparable or slightly better sound compared to the Show 10. That's about it for the better features. Oh nearly forgot, the camera is a lot better. Most features are about the same as on the previous echo show 10. However, the headline feature, the movement is a massive let down. I have now tried this in 2 locations and have had issues in both. I find that sometimes it turns all the way to it's rear most position for no apparent reason. I think it may be ashamed of itself?? It tracks very erratically. I was on a video call yesterday and instead of smoothly tracking me (I was sat down at the time) it was moving around like a drunk trying to sit on a bar stool. I get the impression that both specific location and light levels effect the movement massively. And before you say it Amazon, no we should not have to contact you for technical support. This is a mainstream product that most people should be able to use with ease, not require a degree to calibrate correctly. Now for the camera position, who thought it would be a great idea to put it in the corner of the display??? What were they consuming on that particular day? When tracking the entire screen looks over my left shoulder. I think it may be seeing ghost's??? Or perhaps it simply cannot line up easily as the camera is mounted on the right of the screen? Low light, oh dear "expletive". In normal evening light (where you and I can see clearly) you lose the movement all together. Did they only test this in a lab with super bright lighting. Didn't anyone take it home to test??? You can also use it for a remote security camera. Great eh? Well only if the room is super well lit and the unit is not in Do Not Disturb mode. Ahhhhh, What is going on. I have 2 other Pan and Tilt cameras (not made by Amazon) and these can move it total darkness. So why do I need 10,000 lumens to operate this camera???? I have another big bug bare. I have this Echo show in my living room and I have the new Show 15 in my kitchen. The closest Echo should respond to you, when they are both set as Alexa. When I am next to the living room Echo the kitchen Echo responds virtually all the time. I have now had to rename my kitchen echo show to "echo" to prevent some serious echo abuse! They are approx. 6 metres apart and this even happens when the kitchen door is closed. So what do I think and would I buy another? Well if you ignore the movement side of things then this is a great Echo Show. The screen is great and you can really see the difference when the show 10 2nd gen and 3rd gen are next to each other. But the movement side of things is so poor that I am considering sending mine back. If you already have an Echo Show 10 second gen I would not upgrade. If you are looking at a totally new large echo show then maybe it is worth it, but I would also consider the show 15 if lots of base is not important to you. So my message to Amazon is fix the issue with the movement issues then this will be a great addition to a smart home, as it is I would recommend either the Echo show 10 2nd gen or the new Show 15, which I am very impressed with.

Amazing and underrated echo show
Amazing peice of hardware. Upset they haven't made an updated model with the spinning screen great for an island. It has decent speakers i expected better but it does that job. Setup was easy like usual. Love the design. Wish they had no ads and you can have the gallery on all the time.

Easy to use
Out of the box this was straight forward to set up and use. It was a little slow to respond during the set up but since then it’s been fine. I like that the range of movement can be set to the surroundings and a rest position selected. You can set up voices and faces to go with profiles so Alexa can recognise your face and voice. The speaker is rather bulky but music sounds good once you have set your treble and base preferences. The only thing I didn’t like/was disappointed with is that the black option came with a whole wire and plug. I chose black to fit in with my home aesthetic so the white wire stood out like a sore thumb. So much so I had to purchase a black replacement, not really what I wanted to do after spending a couple of hundred pounds.

Should be illegal, SHOCKING
I purchased 2 echo shows recently (11 and 8), I have been using echo's since they first arrived on the scene, I will not be buying another single Alexa or Amazon device and would strongly recommend that other people follow suit until they realise they can't scam people like they are, selling equipment that is nothing more than an advertisement panel and billboard for them to intrude on every moment you spend in your home, constantly trying to get you to spend more money, making you aware of every price change in your Amazon basket, force feeding you unwanted adverts, following your every move and tayloring it's AI to learn how to sell you stuff, rather than making your life easier which is why you bought the device which has ultimately lead to devices being unsupported and Alexa's responses dumbed down, alaxa barely has an answer for anything these days and I find myself having to Google answers more and more after trying to rephrase questions several times, "Alexa doesn't have a response for that" or "device isn't responding" is all I seen to hear or see these days, save yourself a lot of money and stress before and stick with a hi-fi and a remote before alexa and amazon start intruding on every little part of your life, I'm stuck with all these devices now but I wont be adding to them, I'll slowly starting replacing Alexa in my home, I would strongly advise everyone of doing the same, you're pretty much selling your free will for very small amount convenience, in fact in my experience alot of inconvenience and unwanted stress., my blink cameras never work when I need them the most, the light are unresponsive, groups and skills needs constantly disabled and enabled, devices need relinked or restarted, all of which takes more time, thought and trouble shooting than before, when a simple flick of a switch or the push if a bottom worked flawlessly every time, as for the shows capabilities, absolutely shocking, screen hardware and devices capabilities are alike to a very very early smart phone, there's about 5 usefully widgets/apps I would never watch anything on either of them, I would have maybe used them for YouTube but it doesn't even have an app for YouTube, you have access it through a browser, which is absolutely rubbish, I bought the shows primarily for it's ability to monitor the doorbell but they barely ever work when you want them too and after buying them you are tied into subscriptions for something that isn't properly supported. The screens responsiveness is absolutely shocking meaning you are pressing buttons 3-4 times sometimes before anything happens, then 3-4 things happen at onces, songs skip several times, you back to far press buttons on screens that haven't appeared yet ect ect, the issues are absolutely endless and so blatantly obviously that it only goes to show how little Amazon really cared about convenience and usability and how every detail on these show devices were focused and tailored to Amazon's lust to to sell you more and more things when it's advertised as something totally different, honestly I think these devices should be completely illegal and I wouldn't be surprised if eventually Amazon found itself subjust to massive lawsuits regarding these devices, they are nothing more than data collectors and sales devices sat right there, always ticking away, ultimately affecting Avery part of your life, I thought phones were bad, at least we have a decent level on control and choice with our phones, these devices don't give you that, advertisements are forced upon you whether you want to see it or not, I don't have kids but I could only imagine the implications if it's algorithms start to pitch stuff to your kids. Anyways after years or enjoying Alexa devices I've come to absolutely dispice them despite them being around my home, the one single thing they are good for is linking up for music, I'm always back and forth between rooms so it's great to have music everywhere playing in sync, that can obviously be done much better with higher quality technology without selling your soul to Amazon, I wish I just invested a good multi hifi or something sort of home media system but I sacrificed my privacy and and everything else I've described for "convenience". If you are going to buy and echo device don't buy the shows, just buy there speakers if anything, even then I would warn against it.

Absolute game changer set it up carefully
This echo is absolutely fantastic, the screen quality is equivalent to a top end TV, the sound is superb and it’s a brilliant addition to any modern kitchen. Be very careful, during set up, be sure to activate tracking so that it follows you, also be very careful when you’re setting up profiles and make sure it knows everybody in the house by face, also control the rotation carefully so that it doesn’t bump into anything. Also, during dropping or video calls, it’s a good idea to not run around, give it time to recognise your face and try and move as gentle as you can and it will always track you and my daughter regularly tries to make it lose her and rarely succeeds… All the people that say that this doesn’t track you either haven’t set it up properly or are expecting too much of it, keep redoing the set up to make sure you get it exactly right, and if you can use it while facing the camera, you’ll have the best experience, Amazon are really not out the part for this device, especially at this price point during Blackfriday
