I have numerous locked gates on my ranch. I've used every brand combination lock made. Sesame is the most reliable, long lasting and durable. You'll still need to lubricate it from time to time. Don't use wd40 or oil. Use Super Lube Dri-Film Lubricant.

For over 50 years I have used these padlocks on my barns and out buildings, I inherited the padlocks from my grandparents. These locks are super rugged and really work well. For decades I never had them covered and plenty of times chipped the ice away and they would open. A few years ago I attached a flap of rubber above the lock to protect it from weather and the old padlocks work like new. Recently I purchased some new ones I had a few more doors I needed to secure and wanted to keep the same code on all the locks. After reading the small print on the package I learned that these locks are designed so that someone can open the locks in complete darkness by rolling the combo back to all zeros. Since never saw the instructions of the lock, I never knew about that feature, not sure if other locks have that capability. GREAT Padlock, Highly Recommend.

I've used this model Sesamee lock for nearly 50 years and it still works great. I'm replacing all my keyed padlocks with this.Superior to the Master lock equivalent in durability, and ease of use (also have one of those). Sesamee combo wheels turn easily in all weather. Combo setting pin hole is protected from elements, dirt, etc. Setting pin is easy to make from a small nail if you lose the original. Backward number spin that always stops on zero lets you always reset to 0000 without having to see the dials--this lets you spin the combo wheels forward to the correct opening combo by "feel" when it's dark or in an awkward place. Probably stronger than the bolt, hasp, chain, etc. that you are fastening with it.

I have been using these locks for over 50 years now they are the best made. I have tried others but they just don't hold up like these do. Years ago we had one shot with a deer rifle and even then it worked. Absolutely amazing. Can't think of a problem I have ever had with these locks.

maybe I'm being stingy. after 9 months the three locks I'm using on outdoor gates, fully exposed to rain, still work well. my only complaint is that the numbers are small and thus hard to read, even for young eyes. if the lighting is less than perfect you better have a flashlight.

Well made product and good price

Have been using these locks in the outdoors for aproximately 4 months now and they are still working great. easy to set with the pin supplied. These locks stop at zero when turned back thus can be opened in the dark by counting each number as the combination wheel is rotated. Will buy these locks again.
