The shape is rounded and comfortable, the wheel and buttons are perfectly placed (apart from the one on the side, directly under the Windows button, which is really awkward and I never use anyway). The buttons have just the right weight and travel. It tracks perfectly on any surface I've tried. The whole thing has the feel of a premium product. I said "almost" the best mouse you can buy. For me, the ergonomic Logitech mice are too angular and sharp-edged to be perfectly comfortable, but they do have the brilliant auto-freewheeling mouse wheel. What I really want is a Microsoft Sculpt but with the Logitech freewheeling wheel - that would be perfection! At this price the mouse is a bargain - I recommend it wholeheartedly.
