A Piece Of Junk!
I am surprised and confused as to how this tablet has (at the time of this posting) a general 4 star review rating. My own experience with the product has been nothing short of an exercise in frustration. Every app I use runs slow and crashes the product. This review? Inspired by the Youtube app freezing and crashing. Netflix? Freezes and crashes. I purchased the tablet to use in conjunction with a work app, that also requires taking work-related photos and obtaining electronic signatures for digital invoices. Functionality is limited to say the least, and I know it's not the application that's the problem, as the app runs just fine on two other devices - a phone and a separate tablet - with little to no issues. However, while using this tablet the screen somehow became locked in landscape mode and refused to go back to portrait, and randomly becomes outright unresponsive at times. When trying to log into the app the tablet's keyboard won't show when prompted at times, and at least one screen that I need to view pops up for half a second then goes blank! Again, these issues have to be related to the tablet itself because they've never happened on other android devices. Not only that, but there is noticeable input lag and a lack of responsiveness from the screen. It's as if this tablet was designed in the 1990's! The screen has a rather "textured" feel to it, as your finger doesn't smoothly glide across it's surface like you would expect from modern touch screen devices. In fact, the manager who signed the digital invoice commented that it felt "sticky", meaning it has a rough texture, like dirty glass. All in all, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the purchase of this product, and mine will probably end up being promptly returned as soon as I decide on an alternative tablet to meet my needs at a relatively low price. The reviews are generally positive, as one can see, but unfortunately my experience after one day of use has been decidedly negative. 1 star!EDIT - I wrote the original review for this tablet back on 4/1/2017 after one day of use. It is now 4/20/2017, marking a full 20 days of use, and unfortunately I still can't say anything positive. In fact, the experience has gotten worse! Today I decided to use the tablet to browse apps on the Google Play store. Just like before, the screen is still slow to respond and the device still feels sluggish and outdated, so I set it down and didn't bother. What concerns me the most, however, is that the battery became noticeably warm, just to the right of the rear camera, but the device was unplugged. Then it started to drain, and while sitting idle and not doing anything, I watched as the battery has drained from 99% to 74% (as I'm writing this very sentence) over the last hour - while literally just sitting here. I'm not downloading anything, not watching anything, not doing anything, and the battery is draining about 1% a minute. Down to 73% in the time it took me to type this sentence from the last one.I think I've decided, as of today, to reset the item back to it's factory defaults, erase my information, and promptly return it. Maybe I got a defective one? I don't know. However, I gave it a chance, but compared to other devices on the market with similar specs, your money is better spent elsewhere folks. It's not worth it. 70% battery now, while sitting idle . . . in a couple hours it will be dead, and faster than that if I actually use the thing. 1 star. HALF a star if I could.

Amazing.
I'm a embedded engineer and very picky about my tech. I own a $600 Samsung s nook tablet , a $900 note phone Samsung Gear s2 watch kindle and have owned many cheap tablets that each one sucked some ways like no bluetooth or slow. Well I bought this for my Camaro as a torque app/media tablet and am quite impressed. Fast! Maps /gps work bluetooth works everything works it doesn't overheat even when on all day in dev mode. Amazing bargain.

Pleasantly surprised!
I wanted a basic tablet for stuff like internet surfing, basic games like words with friends, etc, you tube, some Netflix, and email. I wanted to be able to use my phone less but didnt want to fork over a lot of money for a higher end tablet. Other than getting used to buttons situated differently from my phone (lg g4), it has been very easy to use. It's pretty fast. Good display quality. Sound is adequate. Haven't used camera and don't really plan to. Not supposed to have good camera, but my phone covers that. So far, even though it's only day one, I'm very happy with it, especially for just under $50! As long as it keeps working well, I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a basic, reasonably priced tablet. (I apologize if this is full of typos. I am without my glasses at the moment!)EDIT 10/27/2016: For the price it's still decent, but I've had 2 issues. One is that it's kinda slow. Streaming isn't great but mostly do-able. The issue that bugs me most is that the battery life pretty much sucks. I usually use it at home, so not a deal-breaker, but really annoying having to be plugged in all the time. My husband's Gpad has about quadruple the battery life of this. (Much more expensive, tho). After like an hour or two online power is really low. Kind of annoying.

Horrible Display & Poor WiFi Reception
The display on the Astro Tab is so incredibly terrible, that I have installed a sleep aid program to reduce the blue tint, telling the program to run night mode 24 hours a day. The power / sync cable provided is slightly off and requires great effort to plug into the device; I am using aftermarket cables. The screen is covered in a plastic film which leaves a sticky residue when removed.Update. Been using the tablet about a week. The WiFi reception is poor compared to other tablets I have used in the same location: Samsung Galaxy Tab (2011, 7-inch) and Nexus 7 (2012).I still rated this 2 stars because at the price of fifty dollars, it's a lost cost tablet. It does come with Google Play installed. You can download and run apps. The device was delivered on time.

unusable
: this device is unusable. It is too slow. I rarely have such deep regret from a tech purchase, but this is deplorable. Someone at AstroTab dropped the ball, forever tarnishing their brand name in the eyes of this consumer.Original review: Painfully slow, bordering on the unusable. Touchscreen shows evidence of light scratching after normal daily use, which quickly exposes the Smart Lock pattern. Overall, a very cheap piece of hardware that barely performs as advertised, but it can play back HD video through Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other sources (after full minutes of waiting for the app to start and bring up your video).
