Get This Foot - Up Your Sewing Game!!
Wow - this walking foot has really upped my sewing game. Had this on my machine non-stop for about four months now. No longer am I struggling with “fabric jams” holding up my stitching. I’m not an amazing seamstress by any means but I really feel that this food has given me a lot of confidence and has made me feel like I can more easily sew difficult types of fabric with ease (polar fleece and Jersey knit in particular). It has also made pleating a breeze. It didn’t come with instructions BUT... HINT: It was easy to install after looking up a video on YouTube. You can also look up how to use it on YouTube as well. Super basic, if I can do this anyone can! The only thing to be aware of is make sure the bar on your machine will connect with the lever on the food. I went to the Singer website to confirm compatibility with my machine model number. The price here on Amazon was much cheaper. My only complaint is some fabrics catch on the tiny foot pad that is on the very back of the foot, as it’s ridged and can catch the edges of some fabrics. It doesn’t happen all the time but I do have to keep an eye out for that and pause and life the food for a second to adjust the fabric just a smidge, to avoid bunching and messing up my stitch. This would probably happen with any walking foot so I don’t blame the product. Over all - five stars foe me!

The installation of this foot was very easy (I looked up video instructions via a quick internet ...
I bought this foot for my Singer Simple 3232, after sewing a quilt with the original foot that came with the machine. As you can imagine, using the original foot did not yield a very smooth and even quilt. The top fabric pulled and did not stay even with the batting and backing, so the top was a little misshapen when I finished. After doing a little research, I found out that most quilters use a walking foot. I set out to start my next quilt, with my brand new walking foot and was pleasantly surprised by the results. The installation of this foot was very easy (I looked up video instructions via a quick internet search). Using this new walking foot makes quilting a joy and I no longer have to stress about the fabric pulling the entire time. If you're going to be sewing projects that require multiple pieces of fabric to be sandwiched together (such as blankets, purses, scarves), I would definitely recommend this walking foot, if it fits your machine. I wasn't sure if this would fit my machine, so I searched the Customer Questions & Answers section to find out.

So happy I bought this product for my sewing project!
this was such a great buy. I am so happy I bought this walking foot as it has made it so easy to sew my daughter's fleece Halloween costume. Prior to using this foot, I tried sewing through many layers of the fleece (hems/elastic arm bands, etc) and my simple sewing machine kept jamming up the thread and getting stuck. Once the Walker foot was delivered, I went I the Singer youtube channel as instructed on the package. I watched a short and simple video on how to install the Walking foot. I am a beginner sewer and this was still very easy for me. Since using this foot on my project, I have not once had my machine jam up and tangle thread or break a thread. so happy I bought this!

SInger OEM product, Great to have on hand
An even feed is great for bulky or "slippy" fabrics, matching plaids, or even joining quilt blocks/pieces (aligning seams) This is the second even feed, aka "walking foot" purchased. The first image is of what worked! the second is the cheap Taiwan knockoff purchased off of eBay (notice the box) did not work even though seller touted that it was for a Singer Featherweight. It could not be attached to any of my vintage Singer low (short) shank machines, even by my favorite engineer! My apologies for not saving the packaging from the real thing, but as long as item looks like the 1st image, you should be happy with the item. First thing before installing this attachment--you MUST remove the thread cutter (I placed it on the fabric swatch in the first image just in case you may not know what it looks like) or it will interfere, making a knocking sound, when the needle bar moves up and down while sewing. The thread cutter will simply slip off the pressure foot bar on most of the older models. Secondly, always lower the needle into the fabric, lower the presser foot, and then hold the thread tails to begin sewing; this is the best method for sewing with this attachment or sewing in general. Finally, this item would have received a "5 Star" if item was not mostly plastic, unlike my other vintage attachments.

You HAVE to own this if you sew anything thick
To own this is not optional if you sew anything thick such as vinyl or demim or sevearl layers of anything. Without it your stitches will skip and go crazy. This makes life easy.(Ok easier) BTW, for that little tiny screw driver that comes the machine to change needles and put this on with, I got a velcro dot and stuck it on the side of the machine so it is handy and I don't need to keep digging it out or wonder what I did with it. (no, I never wonder what I did with stuff) I actually got one with my machine. Check and see if you did first. Also, youtube for tons of instructions.

Great!
Easy to attach! Has been put through some really tough and thick projects and has performed perfectly for at least a month now! Love it! I have ended up using it for several projects that don’t call for it- just because it keeps the fabric moving so well, and makes it so easy to make straight lines of you just let it go to work on its own. I have also discovered that it is handy for seam-gauging by adjusting the needle slightly, then following the inner side of the innermost claw for 1/8-inch seam and the outer edge of the claw for 1/4-inch seam- so has essentially become my 1/4-inch foot!

Great addition to your sewing machine!
Earlier this year I got back to using a sewing machine- it has been a long time since I worked on one! I have been working with heavier fleece and fabrics that are stretchy and get bunched up quickly, so I wanted to find something to where I could help prevent the fabric from bunching. The walking foot was perfect! It’s also perfect for beginners as it just glides across the fabric. Highly recommend! It was a game changer for me until I got back into my sewing techniques!

So far, so good on vintage Kenmore!
I’ve used this now, for about an hour’s worth of sewing. And I really like it! I sew on a vintage Kenmore machine & it fit just fine. I’ve nothing to compare it to as I’ve not seen or used a ‘walking foot’ before, but it seems to work as designed. Especially for the price, I’m very happy with it for multilayer sewing. Directions were found through the QR code on the back of the package.

Amazing!
I've been meaning to get one of these for so long but as they're a little pricey I kept putting it off. In the last few years I've been working a lot more with faux leathers and tried all sorts of ways to make it work with my machine but it's always been a struggle, I finally got this as I have a commission coming up that will be entirely out of faux leather, rather than the odd strap, and I'm so glad because I use it all the time! I have a Singer 2808 sewing machine, it's old and not advanced but surprisingly sturdy, getting this walking foot has saved me having to buy a whole new machine as it can now do so much more! It's easy to attach, easy to use, and is exactly as it is pictured in the listing. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is planning on working with awkward materials (eg. Leather, faux leathers, velvets, anything that sticks or moves as you work with it) or if you're sewing multiple layers at once. In the past I've used one of these whilst making a jacket from silk velvet and a walking foot really saved it!
