A Helpful Guide for College Students
I recently read "You're Not Alone: The Only Book You'll Ever Need to Overcome Anxiety and Depression." While I found the book informative and helpful, I must admit that it seemed to be geared more towards college students than older adults. The book offers practical advice and strategies for managing anxiety and depression, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in that age group. However, if you're looking for a book specifically tailored to the challenges of mental health in older adults, you may want to explore other options

Genuinely helpful
I'm not a young person, and I don't suffer overwhelming anxiety or depression. I read Zach's book because I knew he would be authentic. Zach was in my Toastmaster's Club the year that he lived in Raleigh, and I knew him as an excellent public speaker and genuinely nice, caring, outgoing young man. I never suspected he was suffering anxiety, depression or suicidal ideation. I think he hid it well. When I discovered Zach's new calling in life, I knew he would make a difference. This book encapsulates steps that can help anyone, and especially young people. I especially liked Zach's emphasis on having a list of people who will support you in different ways, because no one person can fit every bill. That's a point not often highlighted.I consider "You're Not Alone" a valuable resource for me, as I know a lot of people with anxiety and depression and I want them all to realize that they are in good company. I learned a lot of helpful practices, and I will recommend this book to my friends who are suffering. Zach's lived experience will improve and support the lives of many young people.

Felt like a friend in the book
The recipient felt she had a supporter in this book in the way the author "discussed" many of things she was feeling.

Finally! A book that addresses the skeletons in my closet
As someone who has and does constantly suffer from anxiety and constant paranoia of anxiety, this book helps we with coping mechanisms to take charge of my anxiety. Recognize that while it is there and always will be in some facet or another, there are a multitude of effective ways to manage it. Especially when you're not clear on where these thoughts are stemming from, it is powerful to know that the micro decisions that I consciously make on a daily basis that are recommended and lived on a daily basis by this author is extremely humbling and satisfying to learn. In the end, the title of the book says it all: You're Not Alone and now I know neither am I and how to address my inner demons!

Good reading
This is a very good little book. Not so extensive. I like that it is very easy to read. It seems to be directed towards young adult, which is good. I was looking for a book that would "talk" to young adults. Have a young adult in my life that is struggling with depression, and she just read it, and found it helpful.

An invaluable resource to conquer everything from mild anxiety to life altering depression
Zach bares his soul unapologetically, using firsthand experiences to contextualize the stress, anxiety and depression that millions of young adults are going through every day. Reading this book gave me a sense of community, that it wasn't just me going through a series of emotions that have at times left me feeling ostracized from my family and friends. Once I came to this realization, it was much easier for me to tap into the recovery techniques and resources that Zach lays out to help me conquer and live with my own stress and anxiety. I was heading to a dark place, and without this book I'm not sure how far I would have spiraled. Thank you, Zach. Please keep sharing your story so it can be a light for others.
