I like the license-plate-style mounting because it keeps the installation clean without a bulky camera hanging off the vehicle. Everything is compact and straightforward. Good option for adding rear visibility.

High Definition crystal clear. Loses a star for the following reasons. Does not fit behind plate if you use a license plate frame. The camera cannot adjust low enough. The mounting frame on the camera hits the license plate frame. Have to either modify license plate frame or place in front of license plate frame. Has guidelines built in and has no option to turn them off or adjust them. Would rather use the ones built into my stereo that I can adjust. But stuck with these. Have to buy extra wire to run back to connect to your reverse light.

I don't know why, but this wouldn't work with my screen.

very compact, and does NOT block the top of new york plates! which is very important! plenty of wire left after wiring up for a crossover suv. the image quality sucks but its just enough so you can identify what is behind you, which is the only thing you really need. when you hook up the camera to that tiny little connector you have to make sure it goes in all the way. It has to click into place twice, one soft click and one distinct one. and dont forget to tighten up the screws when your done adjusting the angle.

I bought this backup camera since I had recently installed a BOSS headunit in my car - making my factory backup camera unusable. It took numerous YouTube videos to even figure out how to install this thing. Even then, I still can't get it to automatically switch to the camera when I go to reverse. This is definitely a user-error thing, but could have been mitigated if they actually provided instructions in the box. All we got was a wiring diagram which is useless for a DIY beginner. The camera quality itself is also horrible. Looks cartoony even during the day on my 9" BOSS unit. I even made sure there wasn't any film/plastic on the camera I forgot to take off. Terrible value, can't return it since I already spliced all the wires and spent too long installing

Great camera but needed a couple of hacks. I had to flip the camera to the bottom of our license plate, so we could operate the latch. Since bolts are on the top of the left cense plate, I had to use a rubber plate holder to hold this camera bracket Therefore I have to flip the camera to keep it correct. There RCA cable is used for ground, so I had to ground the outside shield. After attaching a ground wire to the outside ring of the yellow jack, I electric tape the jack. Then the picture was great. The cable from the head unit to this camera was not provided. Only a short cable that reached from the license plate thru the hatch to my tail light was provided. I already had an RCA and trigger wire cable from the head unit to my brake light.

This backup camera is compatible with my Boss BV755B head unit. No need to wire the from the rear since RCA will provide that. It fits well on the license plate and will only be an issue if you have a button to open the trunk in the way. You will probably need a drill bit and step drill to get a hole big enough to fit the cables though. It's 480p but does the job. Framerate is nice and smooth. I needed to use an extra wire just to reach my power from my reverse light but that's fine. For 20$ this is good value.

No issues. My old camera stopped working. I bought this, plugged it in, worked as it should. Very happy with price and quality.

It's not compatible with my screen. To return it cost me more than a half of price.
