Good advice those plagued by anger. The spiritual angle will encourage many people.
I have known a number of people in workplaces and in personal circles who are dogged by unresolved anger. If they are serious about learning how to better handle the emotion and use the feelings to gain insight and personal growth, this book is one of a number of sound resources.I have shared copies of this book with people for whom I think it will encourage them to break out of the ‘anger’ echo chamber.

Angry World
Dr. Stanley, as he usually does, hits the nail on the head for alot of society plus bringing truth home to oneself own suppressed anger baggage. The simlpe outlines assist in your understanding your loved ones, fellow employees, and the condition of Anger all over the world. It took this reader back to some childhood hidden truths of anger baggage. As a medical & phychology professional, who treated patients for over two decades that anger is often the root of all mental-emotional and physical illness. I failed to remember my own anger from my childhood of parents always helling and screaming at each other, even when they weren't disagreeing. Dr. Stanley's down to earth writing allowed me to ask forgiveness to parent's who have long since passed. He definitly pointed out the reality all those who are angry need to "Deal With IT" now. I've followed Dr. Stanley's sermon's, books, and have most all his tapes and CD's/DVD's since 1970. He never adds to, or takes away any words of the Bible, and his sermons are spot-on to the subjects he is speaking or writing about. He readily admits his faults, trials, or any misunderstandings. He has kept this type A 75 yr.old watching her P's Q's, even when I think I've dealth with it all.BB

If you ever deal with humans, read this book!!
I am a pretty passive person, but the sample pages and table of contents piqued my interest, so I bought the book.Boy was I ever surprised!! I got it on Thursday and finished it on Sunday. Two chapters the first three nights and finished last night. I can't wait to read it again! This book not only speaks about the signs and causes of anger, it speaks about other personality traits. It covers the topics of parenting, marriage, friendships. It opened my eyes to understanding how we think and feel. It goes over what to look for in a friendship or business relationship: when to proceed and when/how to walk away.I love the fact he gives so many real-life examples. I love the scripture references.Had this not been written by a Christian minister, and maybe re-titled "Understanding Anger: Finding Peace in Your Relationships" it might have been a classic self-help book! I'd read a number of Dr Charles Stanley's books and this - by far - is my favorite book for practical living.

Are You a Kettle or a Crockpot?
I enjoy watching Charles Stanley on television and this is the first book I purchased on my Kindle. Everyone else is around me is angry and I am frustrated. Perhaps it is the other way around? I really enjoy the insight this book has given me. It begins at the very basic level. What is anger? There is a good anger and bad anger? Yes, it's in The Word. When you realize the different types of anger and the dangers, it's amazing. The answers? Yes, they are here too. Dr. Stanley shares his experiences with other people and scriptures to encourage. For me, it was a book to open my eyes about anger and it's wildfire. Now solutions, The Word, and The Fruit of the Spirit I have been given to let go of bad anger and begin to practice only good anger - NOW.

Relief..... Is here
An excellent answer to a growing problem in this world. Everyone is angry at some point in time and sometimes they don't know why. This book clearly shows how this anger can be dealt with and released through our Savior and our Heavenly Father. While you read this, you will feel the weight being lifted off of your shoulders and an inner peace known only by the grace of our Father. If you are ready to stop being angry, read this book. Be prepared to feel free again and blessed!! This was a true blessing for my husband, and in turn for me and our entire family.

Great read for those dealing with anger in their lives
Charles Stanley can help Christians deal with the world we live in and the anger we encounter each day. Forgiveness and giving all up to Heavenly Father trusting in HIS grace!! We must be in this world and not of the world!

Christian Book about Anger
I really enjoyed this book. Dr. Charles Stanley has written a timely book about anger and personal peace. We talk about world peace but it is only when we find Godly peace that we can take that to an angry world. We see the consequences of anger at home, work and on the road everyday. This book is instructive, spiritual and emotionally healing in nature. I recommend it to Christian counselors and teachers, pastors and parents of teenagers and young adults who deal with anyone who shows signs of anger in their life. I thought I purchased this book to help someone in my life and ended up working on myself. God is great at the peace process.
