I set up the TERRO T230 indoor flea trap to detect and control a flea issue in my home, and it worked effectively by drawing fleas out from deep within carpets and upholstery.Attracts Fleas From Farther AwayThe trap uses light and heat to mimic a warm-blooded host, attracting fleas from up to 30 feet away. Flea approved
Works as intended. I spent a good 2 hours just watching these suckers jump on and remain for the rest of their miserable life! They might have won the battle at the beginning with their bites but I feel like I’ve won the war. If you have free time, it’s a fun activity to distract yourself, if you’re too busy it’s still fun to come back to see a fresh family of these ankle biters stick together.

Excellent indicator of the effectiveness of flea abatement
While I don’t think this is the product that you need to get rid of fleas it definitely works as a good guide as to how the product you’re using to get rid of them is working. I had a flea infestation problem. I tried the bombers in the house and the over-the-counter bug products from the big box stores. None of them worked. I kept seeing this flea trap having more fleas overnight however I went to a DIY store to get the professional products and I noticed in two days that I had less fleas. I think using this in tandem with an exterminator type approach will be the telltale sign of when they are gone.

It trapped more cats then flea
Easy to put together.I've seen these types of traps work well in the past. So, I know they can work... however...... my cats find this to be the most interesting thing in the entire house. I ended up with at least two cats with sticky pads stuck to their fur and one sticky pad found in the bedroom (likely from being stuck to someone furry). When I finally took the sticky pad out, the cats attempted to get under the light with their heads or paws. So, putting this on the floor so it might tempt fleas, did not happen. I thought the cats would ignore it after a while, but sadly no, my little furballs just love that little light far too much.None of the traps managed to catch any fleas, just lots of fur and bite holes.

They WORK!!!
These work great! I bought 3, and they caught more fleas than I expected! Each comes with a spare sticky pad. I've had them plugged in for a couple weeks straight now, so I don't know why others comment on the short bulb life (PRO TIP: Whenever you handle a clear halogen bulb that tends to emit a lot of heat, WEAR GLOVES so that you don't get the oils from your fingers on the bulb. That can superheat the bulb and cause it to burn out quicker, just like with automotive light bulbs). Another tip, these work better at night or when it's the only source of light in the room. As they say, "a watched pot never boils," so give it several hours in darkness to start working. Also, these will NOT pull fleas from your pet! Those fleas already have a tasty heat source, so this is designed to catch fleas that are on the floor or near pet bedding.Overall, it's a pretty good value and they're pretty durable, so I would definitely buy these again (should something happen to the 3 I have now).

Not super effective in a house with animals
This was not as great of an investment for me, the design is kind of cumbersome with the cord coming directly out of it and it’s not very long of a cord either. My curious cat got stuck on it and made it a problem for everyone, not super safe for animals keep it away from the curious ones. Barely caught any fleas and feels flimsy
