It's challenging enough to be interesting, but not so difficult that it ceases to be fun. I would rate it about a 3/5 on difficulty - tougher than you should be giving to most children or newbie puzzlers, but easily doable for those with some experience. It also seems to create less puzzle dust than most I've built, making the experience all the more enjoyable. It's reasonably well-constructed, but not perfect. The pieces tend to lodge together, and when they really get stuck, pulling them apart will damage them at least a little, no matter how careful you are. Additionally, the gold foil does not seem to be infallible, and has flaked a tiny amount already. I will probably rebuild this puzzle a few more times, but I don't expect it to hold up forever. In summary: If you like to get a lot of uses (>10) out of a puzzle - Pass, it won't last. If you like the way it looks and don't mind that it won't stay pristine forever - Buy, you won't regret it.
