CO-Z 1" 25mm Button Badge Maker Machine + 1,000 Parts + Circle Cutter

I'm trying really hard to "deal" with this button maker. Does it work? No, not really! The instructions are worthless. One of the images in the amazon page has better instructions as they are in color, so a bit more legible. The arm and press does not comeback to the starting position without me taking the extra step to pull it up. It jams a lot. I've watched Youtube videos and read the other reviews that were helpful in dealing with my frustrations. I'm being extremely careful in all of placement of individual pieces and bought paper that fit the specs provided. I'm at a 50 percent success / failure rate having made 4 that look pretty good when finished. I'm going to try a few more to see if this is something I'm doing wrong, maybe I need practice. I'm honestly ready to send it back (apparently I hate quitting more than I hate this machine). I'd buy a different machine if I were you, or, if I were me reading this review (because of my loop of hate mastery over this machine). The photo is 3 of my 4 failures not including the few lost to the learning curve. These 3 were made in succession after making 4 good pins. REALLY? The time I spend frustrated, babying, and unjamming the pin-maker to make ONE pin might be better used to zipping through more successful pins with a better machine. Did I mention I returned this item?!

Great button maker, but THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE!!! I thought it was garbage when I first attempted to make a button. Here is how to make it work: 1. The paper circle for your graphic MUST be the same size as the mylar circle. Use the included circle cutter or find a circle punch that cuts 1.313" circles. 2. Make sure the metal button core is not double stacked, as they sometimes stick together. The same applies to the mylar. 3. When you press the button, press HARD and press MULTIPLE times, especially on the second mold. Pressing multiple times was the breakthrough I needed to make this thing work. Good luck!!!

Had high hopes for saving some money here...but I have to say my personal experience does not line up with the good reviews, which is really a testament to poor quality control and consistency, I think. The item appears to be well made and a good value for the money, and I am sure there are plenty of them that work just fine, however mine has an alignment issue which causes the badge to get flattened on one side. The dies are not lining up properly, and the metal is getting caught between the dies, and I do not get a full crimp of the plastic cover and back piece. The badges can easily be pulled apart, and the plastic cover gets cut by the die instead of tucking in as it should. I could get better results by doubling up the plastic, meaning part of the problem is the quality of the materials for the buttons, but I would still get a flat part on the button and a loose crimp. This is going back and I will save my money to buy a better machine...

I had a little trouble with the first few buttons, but after trial and error I noticed theres a trick to it. You have to press down a lot harder than I would like, but other than that its wonderful and I absolutly love it. All the bad reviews are just people who didn't try hard enough. I took the whole thing apart after putting it together, adjusted a fre things and it works beautifully.

Purchased this button maker and it has yet to not crimp a single button. Attempted to do every possible trouble shoot that I could find on the internet but in the end I just have to concede that this is just not a quality machine. I didn't realize this in time get a refund and hope to save other buyers the same fate. At least I'll have extra parts to play with once my new button maker comes in.

This machine did not come with instructions. It is very tricky to figure out. Once we watched a million YouTube videos (none of which seemed to match up with this exact model), we finally figured it out. It's very finicky and sometimes the pieces that hold the buttons and badges come apart from the plastic base and you have to reattach them. It isn't user friendly. Half of the buttons we made didn't turn out quite right. I'm really unhappy with this machine and, unfortunately, didn't get around to testing and using it until my return window had passed.
