Very happy with this one!
Well, I have loved Cat from the start when they started playing his tunes on FM radio. I bought the Tea and the Teaser albums in vinyl form when they came out and now I have them on CD. However, for some reason I never paid attention to Mona Bone Jakon. Well the (2) disc deluxe edition arrived today and after listening all the way through I think it rivals both the recordings mentioned above. The hard back booklet with the lyrics and commentary about each song is fantastic! Do not pass this one up if you are a Cat fan.

If you like Cat Stevens, this enhanced 2Cd release is a good one to get. I always like to get the enhanced or expanded versions of these albums.

Every Cat Stevens album has its joys. This early release was discovered by me only recently and I can only say it brought much joy.

It encapsules that whole period of that album.
I liked the entire presentation. From box to content. The remaster, the remix, the demos and live recordings. The book is also well done. They did not take shortcuts and scrimp.

Tercer disco de Stevens. Aquí empieza su época dorada. Es casi como una maqueta por su, más o menos, poca producción, al menos comparado con sus otros trabajos. No es tan famoso como sus dos siguientes pero al no estar tan oído, se puede volver más a él. No hay ningún hit, ni falta que hace. Bonita edición por su 50th aniversario de Dos CDs. El primero es el álbum de siempre y el segundo, material inédito con demos y temas en directo en la BBC.

Cat Stevens third studio album
A nice album from Cat Stevens. Here are the well known ”Lady D’Arbanville” and ”Katmandu”. This album differ from the two first he did, which were more ”pop oriented”. CD two has some demos, BBC recording and two live recordings from the Plumpton Jazz & Blues Festival. The CD cover is in a nice ”book format” with information about the tracks. The sound quality is very good too. Recommended!
