You will be the coolest grandma EVER with this machine... it does everything it says it does, and more! The ice shredding is so fast, that 4 grandkids couldn't keep up! I did order additional syrup flavors, straw, cups - because the kids intend to give FREE snow cones to my neighbors! I have to admit, that I did lay plastic wrap down on the bottom, and stick a bowl in the machine so that I could use it for myself to just have a small snow cone at night! HA! That way, I don't have to worry about any cleanup... just dump the small amount of drainage water from the bowl in the morning!I especially love that it can be disconnected from the cart to sit on tabletop or picnic table, so I can give it to others to use very easily!

I bought this for a birthday party and have used it almost every couple weeks in our hotel lobby for our team and guests. It makes the perfect treat for hot days. Would highly recommend!

If I could give zero stars I would. First we ordered this and it didn’t work. So we returned and got a new one… this one ran… but only was able to make 6 snow cones before the stupid thing broke AGAIN. My boys bought this with their own hard earned money in the winter with hopes of selling snow cones in the summer but it’s a piece of junk. And the return window passed when it was still winter. DO NOT BUY THIS. Tore it down and found that the motor is crap. Chintzy connection from power to one of the coils was made by simply crimping it to a very very small coil wire. It was at this connection it broke. Coil wire broke in crimp. Tried soldering it back together because again boys spent their own money on it and just embrittlement and broke again. I’m assuming this is why the first one also didn’t work.

I recently bought this snow cone ice machine, and it has become the star of every get-together! Whether it’s for a summer party, farmer’s market stand, or just a treat at home, this machine is an absolute must-have.

This is a very cute retro-looking item, and it does a great job creating lots of shaved ice. It appears to be sturdy and well built, and was fairly simple to assemble. My 8 year old granddaughters REALLY wanted it, so I got it for their birthday. It does not come with any syrups or accessories, which must be purchased separately. Even though on the surface, it appears as if this is a good gift for a child, it really is not. The blade in the ice reservoir is basically a razor blade, and would easily cut you if you're not careful, and of course, it is electric, so must be plugged into an electrical outlet. It is great, as long as its operation and maintenance is left to responsible adults. The other negative is that if you have any leftover ice shavings, it is kind of a pain to remove them from the box. The easiest way was to remove the upper section from the cart, and dump the excess ice and water into the sink. This item is better suited for making lots of snow cones, like for a kid's party, and not so much for a one-off snow cone. Too much work for only one or two. That said, it does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. As long as you understand it's limitations and precautions.

Works great! We use it for big events and it handles the crowds well- over 400 people in two hours.

Once assembled, it's a little bit larger than I thought it was going to be however, I wouldn't change a thing. It is easy to use fairly quiet and easy to clean. It is definitely meant for adults to use not children because of the blades inside of the top used to shave the ice. It was a hit in the summertime at all of the parties. It comes with some flavor bottles, and it brought me back to my childhood with great taste to the snow cone.
