Warning: The description of this product is very misleading.It is described as a "trap". There is even an embossed metal plate on the unit that calls it a "trap".What it really is, is simply a one way door. You cannot "trap" an animal like a squirrel in this, as there is nothing on the far end of the unit to prevent them from walking straight out. Yes, proper;y attached, it will prevent the critter from going back in the same hole he came out of, but because you can't capture him, he can just come back and chew himself a new hole.So if you are planning to use this for capture and relocation, it won't work. Some of these types of devices do have a door that can be opened to release the animal in the trap. This is NOT one of those. It's a shame because size wise, it would be perfect for grey squirrels.I also have to add that this item is very cheaply made, and certainly not worth the purchase price.Accordingly, this item will not suit the purposes for which I purchased it, but thanks to Amazon for its great return policy, so I can find something that will work.
