Shock Doctor Ultra Carbon Chin Strap

Both of my sons use this style chinstrap - my youngest in youth football, the oldest at school, and both absolutely love it. The Shock Doctor chinstrap offers comfort and protection and is easily cleaned. When some of the high school coaches saw the one my oldest had, they called in the other coaches and passed it around and all were impressed with it. Due to the variety of colors that it comes in, it would not surprise me if they ordered them in the future to replace the current issue ones that the team is using. I will buy a larger model for my younger son when he moves up to play ball at the school, so he can continue to recieve the same level of comfort and protection. If you are looking for a quality affordable chinstrap, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Every year I buy Shock Doctor chin straps for my kids to replace the poor quality ones that they usually get issued. They love them. This one actually irritated my daughters chin a few times, which is why I'm dropping one star. Otherwise, they are usually awesome. Maybe I need to buy a bigger size next time.

My 9 year old son is using this chin strap for youth football. He says it is comfortable I noticed it fits snugly and it definitely provides additional chin and head protection. Personally, I find it a big upgrade over the stock chinstraps so many youth players wear and recommend it. The removable neoprene chin cup is a nice bonus for cleaning. This chin strap also looks cool over basic white (many color choices)- since we take a gazillion photos of our kids they might as well stand out.I purchased mine from Ithaca Sports via Amazon and they were trouble-free ordering and shipping.

I wanted to get some additional protection for my sons and bought this for both of them (lacrosse). This past week I watch my son take a vicious hit with a lacrosse stick to his throat area. He laid on the field for a few minutes and then got up. Luckily the stick to the throat hit his new chin protector and no damage was done. I have no doubt that a standard chin strap would have left with him with bloody chin and possibly a concussion.

I coach youth football and there are a lot of chin straps out there that fit poorly, and are very hard to snap to helmet. This one is not one of them. It doesn't slip and hit my sons throat, which a lot of other kids have had that issue.My son is 9 and during his first scrimmge he knocked another kids helmet off and it flew 5 feet! Great chin strap. It's very comfortable and doesn't slip when sweaty. Stays in place and looks great ! I recommend this to any football player !

Snap on strap broke off the first time it was used- appears to be defective snap. Amazon quickly arranged for its return. Hopefully the replacement I bought will hold up better.

Very good chin strap. Very confortable and easy to clean. For this price you won't find any better. I really recommend this one.
